  • Whisper unveils fourth edition of its #KeepGirlsInSchool movement

    By Our Staff

Feminine-care brand Whisper, from the house of Procter & Gamble, has unveiled a new film titled ‘The Missing Chapter’ as part of the fourth edition of its #KeepGirlsInSchool (KGIS) movement. This time, the new film aims to educate mothers on the biology of periods so that they, in turn, can educate their daughters on periods including menstrual hygiene and using sanitary pads during their monthly cycles. The film is conceptualized by Leo Burnett.

Said Girish Kalyanaraman – Vice President and Category Leader, Feminine Care, Procter & Gamble India: “For a natural process like periods, it is very important that parents educate their young daughters correctly. In most parts of India, we’ve seen that mothers themselves are unaware about the biology of periods and the ways to manage it. As a result, menstrual hygiene is compromised. This leads to girls staying at home during their period days every month and they slowly start falling behind eventually dropping out of school altogether. Our film ‘The Missing chapter’ aims to address this and spread awareness among mothers so that the next generation of women is empowered and educated to manage their periods and keep girls in school.”

Added Rajdeepak Das, CEO & Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett – South Asia: “A mother is the first teacher of a child, the one who imparts life’s most important lessons. Thus she could be a powerful ally in our journey with Whisper to Keep Girls in School. But in India, mothers themselves lack the education to teach their daughters about periods. Our focus this year is to educate mothers, create a chain of positive information, and break the cycle of ignorance.”

  • HDFC Life unveils new campaign

    By Our Staff

HDFC Life Insurance has launched its latest brand campaign based on the core idea that ‘protection starts with self’. With this campaign, HDFC Life takes its brand promise ‘Sar utha ke jiyo’ a step further by delving deeper into the concept of ‘protection’. It highlights the need to ensure that we are able to secure our loved ones from any downfall in life while also securing their future.

Speaking on the campaign, Vishal Subharwal, Chief Marketing Officer and Head E-commerce & Digital Business, HDFC Life, said: “Our aim has always been to showcase narratives that are engaging and relevant to our audiences. Last year’s campaign focused on the resilience of students and families amidst the challenges of the pandemic. This year, we have focused on the need for students to own their identities irrespective of how others perceive them. Family plays a critical role in enabling youngsters to recognise their self-worth and also in securing their future financially. This resonates with our philosophy of financially securing individuals and enabling them to face life’s uncertainties. It reinforces the need to be financially secure and prepare our future generation to cope with life’s challenges and uncertainties and live with pride.”

Our film narrates one such heart-warming story where a father not only gives his daughter the financial confidence to pursue her dreams but more importantly gives her the emotional support to stay true to herself. A valuable message that will resonate well, especially with the youth – Sar utha ke jiyo!”

    By Our Staff

Kurkure snacks has unveiled a new TVC campaign celebrating its new sub-brand – Kurkure Playz. Kurkure Playz comes in two international dairy flavoured offerings, Kurkure Playz Puffcorn and the all-new Kurkure Playz Pastax. Kurkure Playz Puffcorn has a distinct shape with a light texture and comes in cheese flavour whilst the all-new Kurkure Playz Pastax has a creamy, herb and onion flavour in a pasta-shaped bite.

Speaking about the new film, Neha Prasad, Associate Director and Brand Lead, Kurkure said: “Kurkure has always kept its consumers at the centre and connected with them through innovative product offerings and quirky, masaledaar storytelling. The Kurkure Playz launch is a big entry in the rapidly growing soft texture snacks in two formats – puffed and pellet. We are excited about our new ‘Halke Mein Lo’ campaign, as it encourages the youth to not get hassled by the daily squabbles and to take a lighter approach to life by adding a dose of masti to any given situation.”

Further discussing the campaign, Vikram Pandey (Spiky), National Creative Director – Leo Burnett added: “The film introduces the new Kurkure Playz and while we wanted to keep the light-hearted quirky tonality of Kurkure, we also wanted to add a playful dimension to the new products. We bring this alive with our ‘Halke Mein Lo’ proposition – where the film places the characters in extraordinary situation of finding a ghost in the room. However, the story takes an unusually cool and hilarious turn when the protagonist takes things lightly.”
