  • Shailesh Gupta to stay MRUCI chair, promises return of IRS

    The Media Research Users Council India (MRUCI) held its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, September 12. Shailesh Gupta, Wholetime Director, Jagran Prakashan Ltd will continue as Chairman. Vikram Sakhuja was announced as Vice Chairman.  Sakhuja takes over the mantle from Shashank Srivastava.

    New members have also been appointed to the Board of Governors:

  • At Mates: Enter: Kumar Siddharath, Exit: Sooraj Bhalla

    Madison Media has just announced that the agency has appointed Kumar Siddharath to lead its entertainment unit, Mates. Mates will be integrated within Madison Media and will focus on brand solutions including in-film associations, celebrity associations, and other ancillary services related to entertainment, content and branding. Siddharath will report to Vikram Sakhuja. Former Founder & CEO of Mates, Sooraj Bhalla has decided to pursue other interests.

     

    Bhalla was responsible for steering the company towards gaining industry leadership position and post his 17-year journey with the organisation, he sets to complete his term on December 3, 2021.

     

    Having started his career as an assistant director to Rajkumar Santoshi, Bhall worked on blockbuster projects like Andaz Apna, Damini, Ghatak and Barsaat. Further, he was Executive Producer of Hindi feature film – Shararat starring Abhishek Bachchan, Amrish Puri etc. After procuring prolific experience in content production and direction, his first independent venture – TeamWorks -was bought out by Balsara to create Mates.

  • Saif Shaikh is now COO, Madison Media Pinnacle

  • Madison Media awarded the Daawat Foods account

  • Madison Media appointed by MP Birla Cement

    Madison Media has been appointed by Birla Corporation Limited as its media AOR for MP Birla Cement. The agency will handle ATL responsibilities for the brand. The account was won in a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by Platinum Media, a unit of Madison World, based out of Kolkata.

  • Madison Media reports 23 new businesses in FY 2020-21

    Madison Media, a unit of Madison World has reported the winning of 23 new accounts in the last financial year. Amidst the nationwide lockdown and work from home, the new business wins amounted to a billing of $211 million as per Comvergence New Business Report published last month. The agency also received a top score of A+ in the Comp Pitches Report for 2020 by Recma.

The agency will handle the entire media mandate, which includes print, TV, radio, outdoor and digital. The account was won in a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by the agency based out of Bengaluru.

  • Madison Media strengthens its Kolkata operations

    Madison Media announced last Thursday that it has strengthened its Kolkata operations. Apart from her ongoing duties in Mumbai, Vandana Ramkrishna, Vice President, will also oversee the Kolkata office. Her key role for Kolkata will be to focus on strategy, digital, business development and ensuring access to Madison World practices of Trading, Analytics, Activation, Retail, OOH, Sports and Content.

     

    In Kolkata, the agency has clients like Bandhan Bank, Joy Personal Care and Ganesh grains, amongst others. With this new role, Ramkrishna will directly report to Partner and Group CEO Madison Media & OOH, Vikram Sakhuja.

     

    Speaking about her role in the Kolkata operations, Sakhuja said: “Vandana is one of our strongest Business leaders and I am delighted to give her the additional charge of Kolkata office as we make plans to strengthen our presence in the East.”

  • Madison Media bags RSPL’s TV biz

    Madison Media has announce that RSPL Group, the makers of Ghadi detergent, amongst other brands, has moved its TV business to the agency. This part of the TV business was previously handled by Wavemaker, a GroupM company. The account will be handled by Madison Media Plus out of Delhi.
