  • Mathrubhumi launches integrated ad campaign celebrating Onam

    Kerala’s leading media group, Mathrubhumi has launched a pan-India ad campaign around Onam that demonstrates the various combination of media that can effectively drive response across target groups.

    Added Francis Thomas, Creative Director, Maitri Advertising Works:  “We wanted this year’s Onam campaign to be very direct in its messaging – we wanted planners across the country to be aware of the reach that Mathrubhumi has across Kerala and even in the UAE. Using print as an effective medium for interactivity and demonstration was a cool challenge and we think the team did justice to it.   • Mathrubhumi organises Re-Imagine the Future Season 2

    Leading Kerala-based media group Mathrubhumi organised the second edition of “Re-Imagine the future” initiative at the Indian Public School, Kochi. The multi-platform spanning initiative was to inspire and educate parents and children on a wide range of exciting careers besides the norms of tradition. The initiative was in a TED talk format which included participation from personalities including actor Prakash Raj, Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri and comedian Ramesh Pisharody.

    Media group Mathrubhumi launched its new venture, Mathrubhumi Media School in Kochi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by George Sebastian, Dean, Mathrubhumi Media School, Senior News Editor M V Jayakumar, PK Jayachandran, Bureau Chief, Ms P Sindhu Unit Manager, Mathrubhumi, and Naveen Sreenivasan, Cluster Head.

  • Club FM 94.3 bags Gold at New York Festivals Award

    Club FM 94.3 has bagged a gold award at New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards.

     

    The radio network won a Gold for its campaign “Kuzhi Map” (pot-holes map) under Public Service announcement promotion and two finalist certificates for Vinodinde Prathikaram (Vinod’s revenge) under Craft and Dim Light under Public Service Announcement Promotion categories.

  • Mathrubhumi kicks off campaign for biodegradable flex boards

    Media conglomerate Mathrubhumi has kicked off its campaign for bio-degradable flex boards. The initiative will include removing all the vinyl flex material used by Mathrubhumi from advertising billboards across Kerala and usage of only biodegradable government approved materials for advertising in the future.

     

    Speaking about the campaign, M V Shreyams Kumar, Jt Managing Director, The Mathrubhumi Group said: “This is a very small step undertaken by our organisation social responsibility towards protecting the environment, we hope we are able to make a difference and receive support from other media houses as well to practise the same.”

     

    The campaign will be promoted in trade media and social media platform Facebook.

     

     

  • Mathrubhumi News now on Hotstar

    The Mathrubhumi Group’s news channel will now be available on Hotstar. The tie-up will offer the Malayalam news channel in reaching out to new TGs and new advertisers for the channel, notes a communique.

  • Club FM engages its listeners with May or May not Contest

    Kerala’s leading radio station Club FM has introduced a listener-engagement exercise titled “May or May not”.  The contest will run in two parts five Club FM stations including Kochi, Thrissur, Kannur, Calicut, and Trivandrum till May 24.  The contest is promoted through all the platforms of Mathrubhumi and also in social media through Club FM Facebook page.

     

    Speaking on the occasion, M V Shreyams Kumar, Joint Managing Director – Mathrubhumi Group said: “Club FM has always been very steadfast and proactive when it comes to engaging our listeners, I am quite sure that this contest will attract a large number of people, which is indeed an epitome to what our radio station stands for”.

     

     

  • Club FM 104.8 begins operations in Kozhikode

    Club FM, the radio division of the Mathrubhumi Group, launched its sixth radio station in Kozhikode. The station will be aired on the frequency 104.8 FM and will offer authentic and edited news and round-the-clock entertainment and music programmes to the Malayalee diaspora.

     

    The launch function was attended by Mathrubhumi officials including Chairman & Managing Director MP Veerendra Kumar, along with Managing Editor P V Chandran, M V Shreyams Kumar, Joint MD, P V Gangadharan (Director), P V Nideesh (Joint Managing Editor), Mayura Shreyams Kumar (Officer–Innovations, Club FM)  and other officials.

     

    Speaking on this occasion, Shreyams Kumar said: “We are delighted to launch our sixth new station after Kochi, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Kannur & UAE.   • Grihalakshmi magazine launches ‘Aatharva Yaanam’ initiative across Kerala schools

     

     

    Women-centric magazine Grihalakshmi has launched its ‘Aatharva Yaanam’ initiative (literally meaning a menstrual journey). The mass awareness menstrual program will be conducted across 14 districts of Kerala for girl students of age group 12 – 19 years. Apart from students, the genuine social objective will include the participation of teachers, parents and the general public.

     

    Commenting on  the initiative M V Shreyams Kumar, Joint Managing Director –Mathrubhumi group said “The unique initiative is undertaken as a one step further of our earlier announcement of introducing one day paid extra leave for Mathrubhumi news women reporting staff of their first day of periods. We feel that it is very important to educate the youth of today on menstrual hygiene, people should be more educated and aware about the countless taboos and superstitious beliefs surrounding mensuration, we hope in establishing Kerala state an example for other states to undertake similar programs for their citizens.”

     

     

  • Mathrubhumi organises Kerala Fest & Bookfest in Mumbai

    Media group Mathrubhumi, will be organising the third edition of its Kerala fest and Book Festival in Navi Mumbai from November 3 to 12. The 10-day festival will be held at Urban Haat, CBD Belapur. The book fest will display over one lakh books comprising 15,000 titles in Malayalam and English along with music CDs etc.
