  • Forevermark unveils latest campaign for Capricci

    By A Correspondent

Forevermark has announced its first India specific advertising campaign for Capricci.  The campaign is a reflection of the many expressions and choices of the modern Indian woman. The campaign has been developed and conceptualised by J. Walter Thompson India (JWT, India) and produced and directed by Prashant Issar Sippy of Tubelight Films.

Conceptualized on the idea of ‘Wear What You Feel’, the Capricci, campaign creatively depicts the different moods of a woman through seven nose pin jackets. In the commercial, the diamond at the core represents the beauty and inner strength of women while the different jacket shapes signify the various sentiments and the versatile personality of women. The campaign also showcases the versatility of the Capricci collection which includes one classic Forevermark diamond nose pin, seven exclusive jackets for everyday of the week, two Forevermark diamond stud earrings and one charm bracelet. The jackets can be interchanged and worn as different nose pins. Alternatively, the jackets can also be attached as charms to the bracelet.

Talking about the campaign, Sachin Jain, President, Forevermark commented, “We at Forevermark are proud to launch our first ever India based campaign. The inception of the collection was made in our Diamond Acquisition Study which showed that the nose pin is the second most widely purchased item next only to finger rings. The collection and the campaign pay homage to the modern women of today who are confident, versatile and have their own unique ways of expressing themselves. The campaign showcases different facets of a contemporary Indian woman through simple day to day situations that are significant to her and bring meaning to those around her.”

Tista Sen, National Creative Director, JWT, India added, “This is the first time Forevermark has explored diamonds in the nose pin category. Something traditional, that is still very modern. We called the collection, The Capricci Nose Pin Collection. Capricci means mood in Italian. This allowed us to beautifully capture the essence of a woman’s different moods through beautiful pieces of jewellery. Our objective was to bring out the versatility of the product, which includes a nose pin stud with seven inter-changeable jackets, a charm bracelet and stud earrings. A collection that will connect with today’s young women as much as the sequences we’ve used our protagonist in. Whenever you work on an iconic brand, especially one as prestigious as Forevermark which is part of the De Beers Group of Companies, you suddenly feel like a part of its history.  And we’re going to make history once again, by creating pieces of work that are as exquisite as the jewellery we’re advertising.”

  • Kotak Life Insurance says, “100 Saal Jiyo! Koi Hai… Hamesha”

    By A Correspondent

Life expectancy in India has gone up by five years in a decade. With enhanced focus on health care, rising income levels and a better standard of living, the average life expectancy is likely to reach 77 in the next few decades.

Based on current patterns of growth, India’s population is expected to grow by 16 per cent to reach 1.4 billion by 2025. Rapid ageing will progressively become a global phenomenon in the 21st century. From 2025 to 2050 the population will increase by a further 34 per cent, reaching 1.88 billion. Those above 50 years of age will constitute 22 per cent of the population in 2025. By 2030 there will be approximately 180 million retired individuals. The number is higher than the similar population in many developed countries. Therefore, in about 14 years we will have highly enthusiastic retired individuals who are ready to explore the next phase of life with renewed vigour.

Kotak Life Insurance’s core focus is to add value to a customer’s life by providing protection and long term savings (PALTs). Kotak Life Insurance as a brand has chosen the warmer side to life insurance – financial planning for living a long life through a partnership that is long withstanding. The company has launched a new ad campaign, aimed at audiences in the age group 30-50 years, called “Koi Hai… Hamesha”

Essentially, the key insight is that life expectancy has gone up and people are going to live longer. There may be people who will up to a 100 years. The Indian blessing ‘Sau Saal Jiyo’ could become a reality in a sooner than distant future. The new campaign provides the backdrop for the launch of the new whole life plan, which protects your life and enables investments during that long life up to 99 years of age. “Koi Hai Hamesha” is the new brand promise that says we will be there with you for forever.

The new ad campaign has launched across TV, and digital platforms. The media plan covers leading GECs (Hindi & Regional), business, English and regional news channels. There are two TVCs – 30 seconds (main film) and 15 seconds (a sequel). The main film establishes a concern and the sequel ends with a solution where the protagonist is now happier and better informed.

JWT has designed the ad campaign for Kotal Life Insurance.

  • For Jeevansathi, it’s important that one ‘Be Found’

    By A Correspondent

Jeevansathi.com has unveiled its new TVC around the concept of ‘Be Found’. The idea behind this concept is to do away with the traditional approach of looking for matches and instead, focus on providing a platform where prospective matches can find each other. To communicate this approach in the first phase, the new TVC by Jeevansathi.com will go on air on 22nd January, 2016 with a TV campaign across 15+ channels and will have language edits as well.

The communication will also be launched on digital media comprising of video, mobile, display and social media platforms. The digital campaign will run across the website and external media platforms as well.

Created by JWT, the TVC represents a new generation who instinctively choose their life partner. It opens with an after meeting conversation in an office setup where the boss tells the employee to come with his wife for the office party and in response the employee tells him that he is still single and looking for one. After that, the TVC progresses with the person explaining his journey of having met a lot of women but not the perfect one and urges you to logon and come on to the portal to be discovered or found by the one perfect for you.

Commenting on the campaign, Sumeet Singh, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Info Edge (India) Limited, said “With this innovative campaign, we are introducing a fresh approach towards matrimony in India. The new communication aims at registering a thought in the minds of people to look at matrimony from the view point of “Be Found” rather than looking for a match. It ultimately enhances the experience of a person who is registered on jeevansathi.com to arrive at a platform where the prospective match is waiting for him/her.”

Shujoy Dutta, Executive Planning Director, JWT, added “In “Be Found” we have a strategy that separates us from the rest of the online match-making portals. In India, logging onto a portal to find a prospective spouse is stressful and without romance. However, we’ve inverted that, by making logging-on the act that helps you connect with that Mr. or Ms. Right who is probably looking for you.  From being a person who has to do the hard work of finding and screening, we’ve made the candidate feel special by being the one who is found.”

  • No fakes, just the real deal – promises Askmebazaar.com in new campaign

    By A Correspondent

    J. Walter Thompson has unveiled a proactive digital campaign for its client Askmebazaar.com. The campaign titled ‘Get Real’ assures clients of getting genuine products and encourages people to buy real brands.

Released at a time when the entire country has been engaging in shopping online during the festive season, the 5 ad YouTube campaign that is addressed to both online buyers and sellers, aims to weed out fake products from the online e-commerce ecosystem in India.

All five films have been directed by Sundeep Sehgal, Sr. Creative Director, J. Walter Thompson Delhi. Talking of this first of its kind anti-fake initiative, Sundeep says, “We wanted to tell people that buying fakes is the most ludicrous thing to do. Fakes are inferior in quality. They don’t come with guarantees.  And of course, there’s no return policy. In other words, fakes are like bad jokes.”

“We juxtaposed the idea with the observation- fake products have a very slight spelling change from the originals and deliberately created those ‘bad jokes’. The response from the online community was very positive. In fact, people started sending us their bad jokes which we converted into social media posts and posters,” he added.

Fakes have spawned some hilarious pop culture and memes on funny fakes – Dolce & Banana, Crocodile brand, etc. There are memes on how to pronounce foreign brand correctly, childhood jokes on alternative meanings and insinuations of brand names. All this created fodder for a creative campaign that uses the allegory of bad jokes to egg on a mass consumer rejection of fakes in the category, to set the standard in quality, with an engaging and dedicated digital campaign.

Manav Sethi, group CMO & head, digital strategy, Askmebazaar, says, “The Indian luxury counterfeit market is approximately worth Rs. 2,500 crore, accounting to 5-6 per cent of the total luxury market of the country. With this campaign, we aim to send a robust message to our customers that Askmebazaar is committed to upholding the standards and reliability of products, and our high-quality, customer-focused reputation.”

The campaign was created to set the standard in authenticity via genuine branded goods, a new narrative for a brand-conscious Indian audience, and a unique promise of no fake– a first for the giant e-com business in India.

  • JWT unveils new campaign for Horlicks

    By A Correspondent

GSK Consumer Healthcare is re-launching the chocolate flavour of its flagship product Horlicks, in new packaging, making the improved offering crunchier, chocolatier and yummier in taste.

The launch is supported by a 360 degree outreach programme including print and television campaigns.  It will also be supported by extensive on-ground activations and an exciting digital engagement programme.

The new TVC for the campaign opens with two children (brothers) sitting across their dining table. When it is evident that they are not excited by their plain glass of milk, their mother replaces the old chocolate drink with the new and improved Chocolate Horlicks. As one brother gulps down the content of his glass in a few seconds, the other one begins drooling over it. He exclaims that new Horlicks is extremely chocolaty and then tries to snatch the second glass as well. The TVC ends by saying that with the chocolatier and best ever Chocolate Horlicks, the children will surely finish off their glass of milk (Doodh ka glass khallaas).

In the story, it becomes a tool in the mother’s hand to help her turn her milk-fussy kids into Chocolate Horlicks lovers.”

  • JWT Cal scripts a winning campaign for ATK

    By A Correspondent

Post winning the creative mandate of Atletico de Kolkata (ATK), the Indian Super League (ISL) team from Kolkata in June this year, it was tasked on J. Walter Thompson to make ATK a leader on the pitch and also among its fans.

In order to achieve this objective, the campaign had to forge an emotional bond between those with a Kolkata connect and ATK. The 360 degree campaign planned by J. Walter Thompson Kolkata aims at galvanizing fans and unify them in their support of ATK.

The communication task was to strike a chord with all individuals who have a connection with Kolkata, regardless of where they are presently located. The campaign had to appeal not only to supporters of the local city clubs [Mohun Bagan & East Bengal] but also to those who follow the English Premier League and La Liga.

As Arjun Mukherjee, VP & Sr. Creative Director, J. Walter Thompson Kolkata says, “Football fanaticism runs in the veins of every Kolkatan. While the supporters of the traditional football clubs are ferociously divided, the idea was to bring them together on a common platform at the new temple of soccer – Atletico de Kolkata.”

“The campaign aimed to bring alive the feverish emotions and unflinching support. More than winning or losing, the idea was to instill a sense of immense pride and also to get the new generation back inside the stadium. Behind every great soccer club there’s always an army of die-hard supporters, and when there are fans backing you, every impossible goal becomes possible”, adds Arjun.

The campaign line – Your Team. Your Dream – evokes intense emotions among fans, igniting their passion, helping them identify themselves with their team and become an inseparable part of ATK’s journey.

ISL is an annual football tournament played between teams from eight cities between October and November. By virtue of winning the inaugural edition last year, ATK are the defending champions.

  • Kellogg kick-starts ‘Bade Sapno ki Sahi Shuruat’ campaign

    By A Correspondent

To limit people from skipping breakfasts and build a healthy nation, Kellogg’s has launched its campaign that spells the core objective of ‘Bade Sapno ki Sahi Shuruat’ with a thought provoking TVC.

It is a well versed fact that the most important meal of the day is our breakfast, yet it is skipped most often owing to our mundane activities taking precedence. This campaign tells people to make that first move towards achieving their dreams by starting their day healthy with a balanced breakfast.

Speaking on this campaign, Harpreet Singh Tibb, Director of Marketing, and Kellogg’s India said, “India is a developing country and has people full of aspirations. They dream big, but unfortunately ignore the importance of starting right and this is reflected in their breakfast habits where most of them don’t give a right start to their day. We at Kellogg’s thought of becoming a part of their journey and launched our new campaign: ‘Bade Sapno Ki Sahi Shuruat’. With this we aim to educate everyone, that a solid, nutritious, grain based start of the day is the way forward and first step to making one’s dream come true. We are aiming at converting dreamers into achievers.”

On creative front, Nandita Chalam’s, Executive Creative Director, JWT shares, “Bade Sapno ki Sahi Shuruat is the idea of our latest campaign for Kellogg’s Masterbrand. India is a land of dreamers and achievers. But most are unable to identify the right start.  Through our campaign, we are encouraging them to begin the day with the right start by eating a nutritious breakfast every morning. In our TVC, Saina Nehwal, our new brand ambassador, exhorts every young Indian with dreams to give them the right start by eating a Kellogg’s breakfast every morning – just like she does.”

The TVC is a part of the larger 360 degrees campaign that will eventually reach out to people to not only provide fuel for their daily nutrition needs, but also fuel their dreams.
