  • Havas Media appoints Hans Mathews as ED

    Havas Media India has appointed Hans Mathews as Executive Director of its West India operations. He will be based out of Havas Media’s Mumbai office.

     

    While Hans will manage the agency’s Mumbai office, his key mandate will be to drive growth for the group in the Western region.

     

    Hans joins with seventeen years of experience in the industry, having worked with international agencies in India, MENA and Malaysia. Most recently he was the Chief Client Officer at Mindshare Malaysia where he led Ford’s regional APAC media team managing partnerships with digital and content partners. He was also responsible for managing brands like UL, Maxis, Kraft, Nestle and HSBC. Prior to this Hans has held leadership roles at Mindshare India, Zenith Optimedia and other leading agencies.

  • Havas Media appoints Pranay Shah Singh to lead strategy

    Havas Media Group has announced the appointment of Pranay Shah Singh as Head of Strategy for Indonesia.

     

    In his new role, Pranay will be responsible for strengthening the strategic output on key clients including, XL Axiata, Danone, AXA, LG Electronics and Kakao Talk. He will also work closely with account leads, innovation and new business teams to drive the adoption of group’s proprietary Meaningful Brands Research and Meaningful Connections Planning Process that helps brands connect with people and create shared value for brands and consumers.

     

    Pranay joins the agency with ten years of experience in the dynamic Indian media industry, where he developed an expertise in strategic planning, media research, consulting and content marketing, working with multinational media agencies and boutique consulting. His last stint was with ZenithOptimedia India, where he led communications planning for FMCG companies like Reckitt Benckiser and Nestle. His involvement in social initiatives like Dhriti and recognition as a rising media star in India by Brand Equity magazine, are testamant to his interest in the evolution of communications, and how it impacts society and culture.

     

    He will report jointly to SK Biswas, Chief Strategy Officer of Havas Media Group APAC and Riadi Sugihtani, CEO of Havas Media Group Indonesia.

  • Havas Media appoints Josh Gallagher as Regional Strategy Director

    Havas Media Group has announced the appointment of Josh Gallagher as Regional Strategy Director.

     

    In his new role, Josh will be responsible for driving offline and online strategy for the agency’s key clients including AXA, Emirates, LG Electronics and Shangri La Hotels. He will also lead the adoption of agency’s proprietary planning process Meaningful Connections Planning with an eye to delivering innovative solutions to new and existing clients. An integral part of his mandate is to propel the uptake of Havas Media Group’s Meaningful Brands research, a unique framework that analyses and tracks the connections brands have with our quality of life and well-being.

     

    Josh joins the agency with ten years of experience working with international media and digital agencies in Australia. He was most recently with Zenith Optimedia Melbourne, where he worked as a Communications Strategist, driving strategy for Honda, Lion Nathan and Reckitt Benckiser. Prior to this, he spent seven years with Universal McCann Brisbane, where he worked as Client Services and Strategic Director. He has also had a stint at digital agency Kruse Digital.

     

    Based out of Singapore, Josh will report into SK Biswas, Chief Strategy Officer at Havas Media Group, Asia Pacific.

  • Havas Media appoints Ranjoy Dey as Head – Digital

    Havas Media Group, India has appointed Ranjoy Dey as Head – Digital. His key responsibility will be to drive growth for the digital offering of Havas Media in India.

     

    An MBA graduate, Dey has about 19 years of experience having worked extensively in the digital marketing domain. Prior to Havas he was COO at Ignitee Digital and was earlier with Digitas India. Dey has handled brands like Nestle, Samsung, Reckitt Benckiser, Dabur, ITC, JK Tyre, Axis Bank, SanDisk, Airtel, Pizza Hut Delivery, amongst others. His works have won several National and International awards including the PMAA, MAA Globes, Abbys and DMA.

  • Havas awarded global media buying role for Iglo group

    European frozen foods major Iglo Group has hired Havas Media as its global media buying agency. This follows the appointment of Havas Worldwide as the group’s global brand positioning and advertising agency in Q4 of 2013.

     

    Havas Media was selected after a competitive pitch process which included Iglo Group’s incumbent agencies. Havas Media presented a compelling proposal that best met the Group’s selection criteria.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Iglo Group’s CEO, Elio Leoni Sceti said: “After a highly competitive pitch process, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Havas Media as our global media buying agency. The appointment will give us the ability to have a fully joined-up approach to our creative and media communication.
