Q. How do you react to a photograph of heavy crowds in the markets, shopping as if there’s no tomorrow?
A. I get a mixed feeling: I feel happy seeing people celebrating life, festival after a hiatus of 18 months of confined indoors. The incidental benefits to economy cannot also be ignored. The scene also creates a concern about whichever Covid wave that can result due to such aggregations, unless all are vaccinated and following all protocols to mitigate a Covid spread. I think all of us must give life and livelihood a chance to get rebooted. All of us have limited time and we must get a chance to live it well.
