Q. With bulk of the digital adspends being gobbled up by Google and Facebook in India and internationally, do you think there is merit in the huge investments on digital by various legacy and recently set up content players?

A. I don’t think there is any option for any legacy company but to invest in digital transformation. To my mind, the business model of any enterprise has changed for ever. AI/ML led disruption at scale is going to affect every business. Now, coming to quantum of investment , it’s a matter of a business’s vision of where to play, how to play and how to win. A premeditated anxiety of competition won’t be a solution. If that would have been all-pervasive, no innovation and creative disruption would have happened.
