Q. It’s the Winter Solstice today (December 21), the shortest day and the longest night of the year. There are many rituals observed on this day like letting go of old thoughts and find new possibilities for the coming year. How will you observe the day?

A. For me a Day is a Day in my journey to eternity. The optics of illusionary construction of a ‘bahaana’ for celebration do not expand or shrink either the space or the time that is available to us, even if it is scientifically true. For me, everyday is a celebration, whether it’s a winter solstice or not. Boring answer? Sorry. That’s how I am.
