Q. Three weeks of the new Sunday Mumbai Mirror. As someone who was actively associated with the paper’s launch in 2005, is the paper something that you are proud of?
A. Business can never be run on emotion and nostalgia. And extrapolation is not a good recipe for future movement. Now contexts are different and I am not in the frame. So how can I arrogate to myself the right to comment on a business decision of another company. The organisation must be conscious of what is strategically relevant for them. In this, where does my pride feature? A incidental conduit can’t have an ipso facto authenticity for airing his views. Market is the best arbiter. Let’s wait for its verdict.
