Q. As a student and observer of marketing, what would you say about a marketer who makes a fair big announcement which is opposed much by consumers and then withdraws it given fears of failure in an upcoming sale?
A. The marketing world is replete with episodes of miscalculations in decisions. There is no harm in failing in some calculations some time. The whole concept of pivoting in the world of startups is about Plan A , B, C as alternative routes to discover a path of success. If one hasn’t failed, one has never tried, as they say.
