  • Saraswathi Laxman, Gaurav Dudeja join Leo Burnett as EVPs in Delhi

    Leo Burnett India has strengthened its North India operations by appointing Saraswathi Laxman and Gaurav Dudeja as Executive Vice Presidents. Based in New Delhi, the duo will report to Samir Gangahar, President – North, Leo Burnett India. Their last stint was as marketers; Laxman comes in from ABP News where she was the Marketing Head, while Dudeja’s last role was as the Head of Brand and Marketing at Fortis Healthcare. Operationally, the Delhi office will transition to a two-unit structure with Laxman  and Dudeja heading a unit each.

    Said Gangahar on the appointments: “It is wonderful to have Saraswathi and Gaurav on board heading the two units within the Delhi office. Both being seasoned advertising and marketing professionals, they understand the need to solve clients’ business problems and will work together with our vast pool of specialists across media, digital, experiential, innovation and production to drive integrated solutions.”

    Apart from ABP News, Laxman has also spent time with retail brands such as Tata International Wolverine Brands and Trent. And in advertising, she has worked with JWT, Publicis, Lowe Lintas and McCann Erickson. Dudeja meanwhile has headed the marketing function at consumer durables giant Philips India, apart from Fortis Healthcare. In advertising, he has had a long stint at DDB Mudra as Vice President.

     

  • PointNine Lintas appoints Asheesh Malhotra as ED, Golin Opinion

     

     

    Asheesh Malhotra has quit his role as President at Bates CHI & Partners and has joined GolinOpinion, the PR division of PointNine Lintas as Executive Director. This marks a significant shift for Malhotra, who’s spent his entire career in creative agencies, as he ventures into the landscape of PR. At GolinOpinion, he will lead the strategic planning function and oversee the agency’s social media centre-of-excellence, the Bridge.

     

    Commenting on his appointment, Vikas Mehta – CEO, PointNine Lintas said: “Convergence of marketing disciplines is here to stay.     Malhotra joins GolinOpinion from the Ogilvy group where he was President, Bates CHI&Partners heading their Mumbai and Delhi offices. He was earlier a unit head looking after a large Unilever portfolio as well heading a global hub for Castrol and BP at Ogilvy.

     

    Malhotra will report to Ameer Ismail – President, GoinOpinion & Chief Growth Officer, PointNine Lintas. Welcoming Malhotra to the agency, Ismail said: “We have a vision to redefine PR. I am delighted that a senior professional, strategist and well-respected leader who has worn many hats in advertising is going to lead this audacious vision.   • Madison Communication bags PR mandate of ZTE Telecom

     

     

    Madison Communication has acquired the mandate for ZTE Corporation in a multi-agency pitch.

  • Souvik Datta joins Creativeland as ECD

    Creativeland Asia has appointed Souvik Datta as Executive Creative Director. Based in Delhi, Datta will spearhead the creative leadership for Delhi-NCR.

     

    On the recent appointment, Anu Joseph, Chief Creative Officer, Creativeland Asia said: “We have been looking for good creative leadership in Delhi-NCR for some time now. Souvik is a strong creative strategist with tremendous experience in this market. He has created some memorable work and is unafraid to try new things. I am pleased to have him on board. He will be working in close partnership with Manas Lahiri who we recently brought on board to lead the branch.”

  • Anil Nair in Saatchi global leadership team

    Anil S Nair, CEO and Managing Partner of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi India, has been inducted into the global leadership team of Saatchi & Saatchi. The team, under the leadership of Magnus Djaba, Global President, Saatchi & Saatchi, is looking at building  the future of the Saatchi brand and its business.

     

    The new  global leadership team represents Saatchi & Saatchi’s major offices and clients, all within the Publicis Groupe’s crucial path of transformation under the  Publicis Communications (PubCom) umbrella.

    It may be recalled that the Publicis Groupe had acquired the then independent Law & Kenneth in early 2014 and merged it with the Indian operations of Saatchi & Saatchi. As part of the merger process, the management of the new entity was that of the old L&K team, even though it was part of the Saatchi & Saatchi and hence Publicis Groupe. The step may be the next step towards L&K S&S being a wholly owned Publicis Groupe company. The earn-out period for Praveen Kenneth,  Co-Owner, Chairman and Managing Director L&K Saatchi & Saatchi is due to end later this year.

  • Kyoorius unveils jury for 2017 Design Awards

    Kyoorius has announced its jury for the fifth edition of the Kyoorius Design Awards. The jury sessions will take place on September 15 and 16, 2017 at the Ecole Intuit Lab in Mumbai. All design work commercially released between January 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017 are eligible to be entered.

  • Emmanuel Andre appointed Chief Talent Officer at Publicis Groupe

    Publicis Groupe Chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun has announced the nomination of Emmanuel André to the newly created position of Chief Talent Officer (CTO), with effect from September 18, 2017.

     

    André will be in charge of talent management and recruitment, working directly with the Solutions CEOs and their respective CTOs, who will be functionally reporting to him. He will report directly to Arthur Sadoun, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe.
