  • GroupM ranked No 1 in net new business in APAC & LATAM

    GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, has been ranked highly in the 2021 new business report issued by COMvergence, the independent and international research bureau measuring the performance of major global ad and media agencies. The study, which ranks GroupM first in net new business in both Asia Pacific and Latin America, reports $11.5 billion in total wins and retentions by GroupM agencies globally in 2021.

     

    As per a press release issued by GroupM, its wins and retentions in 2021 were the highest in the industry overall and nearly double its total wins and retentions for 2020. Among agency networks, Mindshare, Wavemaker, and MediaCom dominate the top three rankings respectively in Asia Pacific.

     

    Of GroupM’s top three markets, two were in APAC – China with $2.1 billion in growth and India with $1.2 billion – as the group finished first by a wide margin in one of the world’s fastest growing regions. Additionally, the U.S. saw $2.3 billion in growth last year, a 37% increase over 2020’s totals.

  • Lintas C:EX appoints Niranjana H as Creative Director – Brand Solutions

    Lintas C:EX Entertainment, the newly launched branded and original content division of MullenLowe Lintas Group, has appointed Niranjana H as Creative Director – Brand Solutions as part of the Lintas C:EX Entertainment creative team to lead Brand Solutions.

     

    According to a communique, the MullenLowe Lintas Group aims to strengthen its foothold in the original and branded content space through Lintas C:EX Entertainment. The Group had appointed Yogesh Manwani as President to lead its entertainment content business followed by Shailendra Jha’s appointment as Lead Content Advisor – Fiction Originals. “This new appointment is another step in the direction of furthering the divisions’ vision of telling impactful and entertaining stories,” notes a communique

     

  • Aalap Desai to also be CCO, Taproot

    Dentsu India has appointed Aalap Desai to the role of Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Taproot Dentsu, a DentsuMB Company. In both roles, he will report into Ajay Gahlaut, Group Chief Creative Officer India (GCCO), Dentsu Creative India.

     

    In addition to leading Isobar India’s creative team, Desai will now also be responsible for Taproot Dentsu’s transformation into becoming a Nex-Gen, digital-first agency.

  • Havas appoints Jigisha Chawla as EVP

    Havas Worldwide, the creative arm of Havas Group India, has appointed Jigisha Chawla as Executive Vice President, Gurugram. Chawla will report to Manas Lahiri, Managing Director, Havas Worldwide (Creative) and will work across key clients of the Gurugram office.

  • Havas appoints Samarpita Banerjee

    Havas Creative Group India has appointed Samarpita Banerjee as Director Marketing & Communications. She will report to Pritha Dasgupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Havas Group India, and will be based out of Mumbai.

     

    Samarpita will work across all agencies of Havas Creative Group India, including Havas Worldwide, Havas CX, Think Design, Conran Design Group Mumbai, and Shobiz Havas Experiential. Sneha Pillai Ahuja, Senior Manager – Marketing & Communications, will continue to lead corporate communications of Havas Media Group India.

  • Carat appoints Sayami Podder as AVP – Strategy

    Carat, the media agency from the house of Dentsu, has appointed Sayami Podder as Associate Vice President (AVP) – Strategy. In her new role, Podderwill be spearheading strategic thinking for the agency. She will also offer insights to the existing agency clients across the West and South regions. She will report to Anita Kotwani, CEO, Carat India.

  • Mindshare elevates Ruchi Mathur to CGO

  • Arjuna Gaur is CCO Webchutney & DentsuM

    Dentsu India has announced the appointment of Arjuna Gaur as Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Dentsu Webchutney & DentsuMB.

     

    In his new role, Gaur will work towards expanding the creative mandate for both the agencies. He will lead creative thought leadership across the network and combine the expertise of Dentsu Webchutney and dentsuMB to deliver future-forward creative solutions for clients. Gaur will report into Ajay Gahlaut, Group Chief Creative Officer India (GCCO), Dentsu Creative India.

  • Taboola Creative reaches 2nd yr milestone

  • L&K S&S appoints Avinash Jakhalekar as Group CD

  • Three Omnicom agencies to host Portfolio Night 2022

    Three Omnicom agencies – BBDO India, DDB Mundra Group and TBWA\India – will be co-hosts for The One Club for Creativity’s global in-person Portfolio Night 2022 in Mumbai on June 2.   In addition, the agencies will co-host an online Pan-India Portfolio Night on June 1 for those outside of Mumbai.

     

    Established in 2003, Portfolio Night has long been recognised as the world’s largest advertising portfolio review programme.  This fast-paced evening of advice, networking and recruitment takes place in cities around the world on the same date to help the next generation of creative talent entering the industry.
