  • FCB enters Sri Lanka with FCB KL.LK

    FCB Group India has announced the expansion of its footprint in South Asia with the launch of FCB KL.LK, being led by Chairman & CEO Santosh Menon.

     

    FCB KL.LK, a fully integrated marketing communications agency, is the newest affiliate office under the FCB Group India umbrella. The agency works with marquee clients and brands including Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, HNB credit cards, Fairfirst life Insurance, Ultratech Cement, and Godrej Consumer products.

  • Wunderman Thompson collaborates with NGO Sanlaap

    Wunderman Thompson India has collaborated with Sanlaap, a Kolkata-based NGO that rescues and rehabilitates sex trafficking survivors, to create ‘The Lost Daughters’ activation during Durga Puja.

     

    Said Pinaki Ranjan Sinha, Executive Director, Sanlaap: “Sanlaap in their long-standing of thirty years has rescued many young girls and women who have been victims of sex trafficking. Due to social stigma, many are refused to be accepted by their families. Through ‘The Lost Daughters’ project, we would like to spread awareness and reach out to the maximum number of people. We want everyone to welcome their daughters as they would welcome the Goddess.”

     

    Added Chandni Kapur, AVP and Senior Creative Director, Wunderman Thompson Mumbai: “If the horrors of sex trafficking are not bad enough, here are girls whose traumas become uglier after being rescued.   • Amaresh Godbole appointed CEO, Digital Tech @ Publicis

    Publicis Groupe has announced the appointment of Amaresh Godbole as CEO, Digital Technology Business, Publicis Groupe India. In this role, Godbole will be leading the group’s digital experience and technology agencies Digitas India and Indigo Consulting. He will also be responsible for scaling up the Publicis Commerce D2C offering.

     

    The role will report into Anupriya Acharya, CEO Publicis Groupe South Asia and both Unny Radhakrishnan, CEO Digitas India and Jose Leon, MD, Indigo Consulting will work closely with Godbole. Prior to this, Godbole was Head of Creative and Capability at Google India, and he also has a history of over a decade with Publicis Groupe where his last role was CEO, Digitas India.

     

    Said Acharya on the appointment: “The last two years have seen an acceleration in technology adoption and companies across sectors are grappling with the need to deliver more contemporary customer experiences and improve critical business processes. We have an opportunity to accelerate further our unique digital technology offerings in India and unlock new avenues, bringing in exponential growth for clients.   • Havas Group opens its first virtual village in the metaverse

    Havas Group has planted its flag in The Sandbox, opening up new opportunities for brands and talent. It now owns a plot of virtual land in The Sandbox video game where it plans to inaugurate its first virtual Village (the 69th Havas Village).

  • Nominees for Critics’ Choice Awards announced

  • Santosh ‘Paddy’ Padhi joins Wieden+Kennedy as CCO

    Wieden+Kennedy has hired Santosh ‘Paddy’ Padhi as Chief Creative Officer for India. The hire also means an expansion for the independent creative agency into Mumbai, where Padhi will build out the shop’s second India location. Wieden+Kennedy has been established in Delhi since 2007, over the years working on brands loike IndiGo Airlines, Royal Enfield, and the Government of India.

  • DDB Mudra wins ‘Asia Pacific Agency of the Year’ title at Spikes Asia 2022

    DDB Mudra Group announces its win as ‘Asia Pacific Agency of the Year’ title at Spikes Asia 2022. It is the first Indian agency to win this award. With its spectacular performance at Spikes Asia 2022, DDB Mudra Group has been named ‘Spikes Asia Agency of the Year’ along with ‘India’s Agency of the Year’.

     

    The recognition comes on the back of the Group’s ‘Unexpected Works’ positioning, which reflected in its work on McDonald’s ‘EatQual’ (1 Grand Prix, 1 Gold, 3 Silvers, 1 Bronze) Battlegrounds Mobile India’s ‘Machine Gun Mouth’ (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronzes), ‘Daughter’s Day’ for Stayfree (1 Silver) and ‘Red Notice Shop’ for Netflix (1 Bronze).

  • Lara Balsara joins Nobel Hygiene Board

  • Reckitt consolidates with Dentsu X, assigns digital mandate as well

    Reckitt India has consolidated the entire media mandate including strategy and planning across offline and digital with Dentsu X. Dentsu X has been handing the offline media mandate for Reckitt India since 2020. The additional mandate of strategy and digital has been awarded to the agency following a comprehensive competitive pitch process, notes a communique from Dentsu X.
