  • Zee to air DP World ILT20 across 15 channels

    Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), the official broadcasting partner of the global cricket league, DP World International League T20 (ILT20), has announced the list of channels that will broadcast the much awaited tournament for Indian audiences’ starting January 11, 2025.

    The matches will take place at three UAE locations – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah – starting from January 11 to February 9, 2025.The matches will be on: &Pictures SD, &Pictures HD, Zee Cinema HD, Zee Anmol Cinema 2, Zee Action, Zee Biskope, Zee Zest SD, Zee Cinemalu HD, Zee Telugu HD, Zee Thirai, Zee Tamil HD, Zee Kannada HD, Zee Zest HD, &Flix SD, &Flix HD and also free to view on OTT platform Zee5.

  • Zee to broadcast DP World ILT20 Season 3

    Zee Entertainment is getting set to broadcast DP World ILT20 Season 3. Season 3 of the DP World International League T20 that is scheduled to begin from Saturday, January 11, 2025.

    The 34-match event will be played at the three UAE cricket venues – Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah – starting from January 11, 2025 to February 9, 2025. It will be aired on Zee TV channels and on Zee5.

    The franchise-style tournament will see six teams playing 34 matches. The league’s six franchise teams include Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), Desert Vipers (Lancer Capital), Dubai Capitals (GMR), Gulf Giants (Adani Sportsline), MI Emirates (Reliance Industries), and Sharjah Warriors (Capri Global).

  • Zee to present DP World ILT20 2nd season

  • Zee5 Intelligence Monitor launches its 5th report – Digital Payments Growth

    ZEE5, video streaming platform and multilingual storyteller for entertainment seekers, launched the fifth edition of its knowledge series ‘ZEE5 Intelligence Monitor’, deep diving into the trends and consumption patterns of digital payments.

     

    The Digital Payments industry edition sheds light on how its entire ecosystem has evolved in recent years and where it is headed. It highlights how the adoption of digital payments has gathered critical mass in India especially due to the democratisation of affordable smartphones and the proliferation of Internet and connectivity. It also calls attention to women feeling empowered with digital payments as it gives them a sense of being independent and tech savvy. The survey also accentuates how digital payments are becoming omnipresent in India, as people are not only using more than one app to pay digitally but have also found multiple use-cases to pay through their phones.

     

    Key Highlights of the Digital Payments Report:

    >> The survey found that Tier II markets are emerging as the hotbed for digital payments in India and the reasons for the inclination being ease of use (73%) and instant transactions (63%).

    >> Digital payments are gaining prominence over traditional financial systems with 63% of debit card users preferring mobile wallets and UPI.

    >> 57% of users feel secure using mobile wallets/UPI.

    >> 54% of users use more than three apps to avail offers and discounts.

    >> 63% of the people surveyed mentioned that the top reason to avail digital payments is ‘ease of use’, followed by 56% saying ‘cashback offers’ and 51% of them considering ‘faster transaction’ as a reason to use these apps.

    >> The top three categories of spending on mobile wallets/UPI apps, according to the report, were mobile bills (50%) followed by online shopping (40%) and utility bills (42%)

    >> 50% of users feel progressive and tech-savvy while using mobile wallet/UPI

  • ILT20 unveils trophy for inaugural season in 2023

    International League T20 (ILT20) a 20-over cricket tournament unveiled the coveted trophy for the upcoming inaugural edition of the league, which will be held in United Arab Emirates from January 13-February 12, 2023. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman, Emirates Cricket Board, unveiled the silver trophy.

  • Zee5 Intelligence Monitor unveiled

    Zee5 has launched the fourth edition from its knowledge series ‘Zee5 Intelligence Monitor’ offering the latest trends prevailing in the smartphone industry.

     

    The research discovered that more than 50% of smartphone users in the metros are planning to replace their gadget within the next six months, quite a departure from the earlier behaviour where it was triggered from declining handset performance. The post-Covid trend is to grab the latest model; with latest features’ scoring well above price as the key motivator. Consuming the exciting and wide variety of content on OTT apps is another new driver for this upward movement.

  • Zee signs contract with UAE’s T20 League

    Zee has announced signing of the global media rights’ contract with UAE’s T20 League. The League will air exclusively on Zee’s linear channels and its OTT platform Zee5, in India and across the world. UAE’s T20 League is a professional cricket tournament comprising 6 teams competing in a 34-match competition, including – Reliance Industries Limited, Adani Sportsline, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lancer Capital, GMR Group and Capri Global.

    Zee5, has entered a partnership with Garnier and Wavemaker exclusively to stream – Garnier Men BroCast, a celebrity podcast on male grooming, conceptualised in partnership with Schbang. The brand has roped in actors John Abraham and Tiger Shroff.
