  • Vi endorses inclusivity & togetherness in new campaign

    Telecom operator Vi has unveiled a new creative campaign titled ‘Be Someone’ssWe’

     

    Commenting on the same, Avneesh Khosla, CMO, Vodafone Idea, said: “Loneliness is a growing concern in India, especially amongst the youth. We believe as a brand designed to aid connectivity, we have a strong role to play in addressing this concern. Our new campaign ‘Be Someone’s We’ is designed to reflect our philosophy of inclusivity, helping the world become less lonely.”

     

    Conceptualized by Ogilvy India, the campaign comprises different slice of life stories that focuses on situations that may make us feel left out or lonely.

“: Loneliness is one of the biggest silent killers of our time. The campaign shows how a simple phone call, a text or a connection in any way, can change how another person is feeling. Each story of the campaign addresses a different aspect of loneliness – from the first day at work to being a student in a city you don’t belong to. Rohit Dubey, who heads creative for Vi at Ogilvy has crafted the stories and Amit Sharma from Chrome films has brought them to life.   • Vi networks with dabbawalas of Mumbai

    Vi, earlier Vodafone Idea, mobile network operator, has partnered with Mumbai’s best human network, the Dabbawalas, to test and improve the network for offering a superior network experience to its users. The Dabbawalas, visited nooks and crannies of Mumbai city to experience & test Vi GIGAnet

     

    Partnering with Dabbawalas, Vi got them to test Vi GIGAnet to understand where the network was seamless and where it needed strengthening on parameters such as data, voice calling, video streaming, gaming etc. The team traversed the length and breadth of Mumbai city, testing the network strength of Vi GIGAnet across 22 wards and over 550 locations. With the help of videos and voice notes, data & responses along with live location sharing, Dabbawalas reported their experience in different parts of the city.

     

    Commenting on the network campaign, Avneesh Khosla, CMO, Vi said: “Mumbai is a key market for us and ensuring a seamless network is paramount. The human network of Dabbawalas gave us a better perspective on Mumbai & a more holistic feedback on the experience as they torture tested the network. Today, we are confident that Vi offers superior network connectivity in the nooks & corners of the city & the dabbawalas are testimony to it. We thank the dabbawalas for this & strive to continuously improve our network in the city.”

  • Vi ties up with Nazara to boost gaming content

    Its voice connectivity can be patchy at places, but just how many people use cellphones for only voice these days. Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea has launched a new proposition for gaming enthusiasts in India – Vi Games on the Vi App – in partnership with Nazara Technologies Limited. Vi customers will get access to a wide range of gaming content including popular game titles from various franchises in India on its gaming platform – Vi Games.

     

    Said Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Idea: “We are seeing a significant uptake of gaming consumption in India with more than 95% of gaming enthusiasts using the mobile device to enjoy a wide variety of content. Deeper penetration of smartphones and 4G availability has led to meteoric growth and adoption of gaming content making it a popular choice for fun and entertainment. We see gaming as a major focus area of  our digital content strategy and we intend to build a comprehensive play encompassing most facets of gaming with the aim of establishing Vi as a preferred destination for both, casual as well as serious gamers.   • ‘Not working? Try networking’ says BBDO’s new campaign for Idea

    Vodafone Idea may be in the news for various other reasons and as a company needs some fresh new ideas for survival, but its brand Idea is moving ahead with a high blitz campaign under the ‘What an idea’ theme to address the issues of unemployment and underemployment. Titled ‘Not working? Try Networking!’, the campaign – developed by BBDO India – showcases the myriad opportunities that internet throws open to people from different age groups and socio-economic backgrounds, across India.

    Brand Idea is launching a 360-degree media campaign to launch the ‘Har Recharge Pe Extra’ promotion. As per the new offer, on every recharge, all Idea prepaid customers will get assured benefits of unlimited calls, cashback and extra data during the offer period. The campaign has been developed by BBDO India.

     

    The campaign with the tagline #SabKaTimeAagaya shows faces from all walks of life, dancing in a signature step, bringing vibrant energy and connecting everyone. This energy is further accentuated by use of a lively and happy tune with the lyrics – ‘Aagaya Aagaya, Sabka Time Aagaya’.

  • Idea encourages good behaviour with its new ad campaign

    Idea has launched its new ad campaign ‘Idea 4G – India ka live network’.

     

    Speaking about the campaign, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Idea said: The way we behave is often dictated by who is watching us. The fear of ‘Log kya kahenge’ is inherent amongst all. With live video streaming fast gaining popularity, especially amongst youth, we are positioning it as a powerful tool to nudge positive changes in behaviour. With Idea 4G – India ka Live Network, we are encouraging people to use the power of our network and its live video streaming capabilities in HD to drive change by creating positive outcomes from every negative situation in and around them.”

     

    The new campaign has been developed by BBDO India and the TVCs have been directed by Sukriti Tyagi.
