  • Shemaroo TV too comes with a Hindi GEC

    Shemaroo Entertainment has launched a new Hindi GEC – Shemaroo TV. A free-to-air channel, Shemaroo TV targets Hindi-speaking markets with the tag line ‘Badalte Aaj Ke Liye.’

  • Shemaroo enters into licensing partnership with Resso

    Shemaroo has entered into a strategic music licensing partnership with Resso, the social music streaming app from ByteDance. Through this association, Shemaroo will offer its wide range of high-quality audio content on the Resso app.

  • Tata Sky explores new genre with ‘Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan’

    Tata Sky has launched its new offering– Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan. It has partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., to curate content for this offering. The series will feature a wide range of TV shows, web series and movies. Additionally, the service will also showcase first-ever-adapted stories from the popular Hindi magazine, ‘Manohar Kahaniyan’.

     

    Sharing her thoughts on the launch of the service, Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Tata Sky said: “Genres like crime, thriller and horror has witnessed great traction over the past few years. While there are multiple options for these genres available on linear television and OTT platforms, currently there isn’t a single destination catering to all the three content genres. Realising this need-gap we decided to bring to our subscribers – Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan – a curation of the best Hindi content library of TV shows, web series and movies in crime, thriller and horror genre.   • Shemaroo launches Marathi movie channel

    Video majors Shemaroo Entertainment announced the launch of its Marathi movie channel – Shemaroo MarathiBana.

  • Tata Sky launches Marathi feed for viewers

    Tata Sky has launched Tata Sky Marathi Cinema, a new service bringing Marathi movies, songs and plays to subscribers. In the launch film, actor Swwapnil Joshi adds light on the irreplaceable treasures of Marathi Cinema that will be available on the service.

     

    The service, launched in partnership with Shemaroo, will give subscribers access to more than 120 films, 500 songs and the best in Marathi theatre. Viewers will be able to watch as many as three movies a day apart from access to plenty of ad-free content including comedy special and trailers.

  • Shemaroo Entertainment appoints Rahul Mishra as marketing head

    Shemaroo Entertainment has appointed Rahul Mishra as General Manager Marketing. Rahul will be reporting to the company’s director, Hiren Gada and his role has been specially created to spearhead the brand in its current transitional phase.

     

    Prior to Shemaroo, Rahul worked with BBC Global News where he was the Marketing Manager APACfor eight years and has also worked with IndiaCast and a start-up digital film studio CinePlay.

  • DishTV unveils Bhakti Active service

    DishTV has tied up with Shemaroo Entertainment to launch a new premium service called Bhakti Active. Bhakti Active service will cater to the needs of people who like mythological and religious content. The respective programmes on the Bhakti Active service will be lined up based upon the Hindu calendar and festivals.

     

    Bhakti Active is a premium religious ad free subscription based service; that will enhance the consistent viewing experience of our subscriber. This service will be available as a free preview till the 31st August, post that a nominal amount of Rs 30 per month would be charged.

  • Tata Sky launches comedy service on DTH

    Tata Sky has added a new service to its diverse bouquet of content named Tata Sky Comedy. This would be the first ever interactive service on DTH in India that provides a single destination for all formats of Hindi comedy content.

     

    The service was launched by Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Sky, along with Hiren Gada, ‎Director, Shemaroo Entertainment the content partner for the service. The launch event provided a glimpse of the service, unfolded by stand-up comedians Sugandha Mishra and Sahil Khattar, who are also a part of the service.

     

    Tata Sky Comedy offers original content created especially for this service along with the best of classic comedy TV shows like Nukkad, Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, Office Office and Zabaan Sambhalke. Every format of comedy content is being made available through this service – from filmy spoofs to fun movie reviews, from gags & pranks to faking news shows – Tata Sky subscribers will now have access to comedy content at their fingertips.
