  • Saregama acquires majority stake in Pocket Aces

    Saregama (eka HMV) has acquired a majority stake in digital entertainment company Pocket Aces Pictures Private Limited. This acquisition, notes a communique, will further strengthen Saregama’s strategic ambition to take leadership position in new music across all Indian languages.

  • Nutshell Infotainment Channel crosses 1 mm Instagram followers

    Digital entertainment company Pocket Aces’ newest channel, Nutshell, which focuses on non-fiction infotainment content, has crossed the important milestone of 1 million followers on Instagram. The channel has been steadily growing across platforms with a highly engaged audience that consists of a mix of millennials and Gen-Z from Metro Tier I and Tier II cities, clocking in an average of 42M viewers a month.

We have thoroughly embedded Nutshell within communities of people in these interest categories, allowing the channel to have access to a lot of data about what the audiences are thirsty for.   • Stride drives Rs 17cr debt round in Pocket Aces

    Stride Ventures, a venture debt fund, has led a Rs 17 crore debt round in Pocket Aces, the digital entertainment company.

  • Pocket Aces ropes in Vidyuth Bhandary as VP – Content Production & Design

    Pocket Aces has announced the appointment of Vidyuth Bhandary as Vice President – Content Production & Design. He will manage and scale the company’s in-house production and post-production capabilities.

     

    Prior to joining Pocket Aces, Bhandary was heading Business Operations and Commercials at MX Player. At Pocket Aces, Bhandary will be responsible for overseeing production and post-production (script-to-screen) of all video content across the company’s short form and long form verticals. He will also oversee a diverse set of teams, which will include in-house producers, editors, cinematographers, sound designers, and graphic designers.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Ashwin Suresh, Co-Founder, Pocket Aces, said: “We are very excited to have a seasoned media professional like Vidyuth join our growing team, and together we look forward to scaling Pocket Aces’ content output.
