  • Script Room delivers 2 campaigns for PhonePe

    The Script Room creative agency has embarked on a campaign with PhonePe which entails a total of 10 films, six for their health insurance service and four for the overarching UPI brand.

     

    Speaking about the campaign, Ayyappan Raj, Founder, The Script Room said: “Context is everything, especially for new product news. Therefore, the approach was to keep the messaging close to the point of realization – being hospitalized and not having health insurance. And since affordability is the biggest barrier, how PhonePe’s monthly insurance plan can solve this issue is the broad narrative construct. Thanks a lot to the PhonePe team for their trust and support, and Abhinav Pratiman for taking our scripts and turning them into comedy gold.”

     

    Added Rajesh Ramaswamy, Founder, The Script Room: “We were looking for a refreshing idea. A kind of a world which could seamlessly lend to talk about the features of PhonePe UPI. While we always end up shooting every ad in Mumbai, what if we begin only with Film opens in Mumbai. New Girl in the city!

     

    Taking to his social media handle Ramesh Srinivasan, Director & Head- Brand Marketing, added: “A very new treatment and take, our attempt to do functional messaging in a not so functional manner.   • PhonePe launches voice feature with Amitabh Bachchan

    PhonePe has launched celebrity voice feature on its SmartSpeakers in collaboration with actor Amitabh Bachchan as part of its Golden Voice Project. Instead of the automated payment confirmation message while shopping, shoppers and merchants will now hear the voice of Mr Bachchan. This has been executed by 82.5 Communications.

     

    Commenting on the 82.5 x PhonePe collaboration for the Golden Voice project, Ramesh Srinivasan, Director, Brand Marketing, PhonePe said: “The intent was to change the way merchants get their payment alerts, reminders and other notifications. We are glad to have 82.5 Communications partner with us on this. They were able to lend their ingenious touch to the existing prompts and turn it into something magical, in a manner that every merchant and customer shall now feel and hear Mr. Bachchan’s presence in every part of the country.”

     

    Added Mayur Varma, CCO, 82.5 Communications: “PhonePe SmartSpeakers speaking in electronic voices were going to get a massive voice upgrade. Big B was bringing in his baritone, and we got the opportunity to set the tone of voice that was uniquely PhonePe. Henceforth, there will be a clear distinction between PhonePe SmartSpeakers and the ‘rest of them’.”

  • PhonePe rolls out campaign for buying gold

    PhonePe has launched a TV campaign for the Gold category. PhonePe’s campaign showcases how easy, convenient and safe it is to buy gold on the PhonePe app. The campaign is on air for six weeks with multiple 25-30 second ad films for TV & digital platforms.

     

    Commenting on the launch, Terence Lucien, Head of Mutual Funds & Gold, PhonePe said, “Our aim is to help people from across India fulfil their aspirations of building their Gold investments.   • Aamir Khan is PhonePe’s brand ambassador

    PhonePe has announced actor Aamir Khan as the face of its brand. PhonePe is also an official co-presenting sponsor for the television broadcast of IPL 2019, and has launched a series of TVCs.
