    ET NOW hosted the 11th season of Leaders of Tomorrow Awards in New Delhi on Friday (January 12).

  • Times Network launches ET Now Swadesh

    Strengthening the Network’s footprint in the language space, Times Network is set to mark its debut in the Hindi Business News genre with the launch of ET Now Swadesh. It promises to be a catalyst of growth, energizing every discerning Indian to Rise with India. The channel will also unveil its brand manifesto that reflects its unique proposition in the Hindi Business News category. A special brand film capturing the brand genesis will be released on the Launch day across the Network channels and its social media platforms.

    Times Network has named Nikunj Dalmia as Managing Editor of its soon-to-be-launched Hindi business news channel, ET Now Swadesh. In his new role, Dalmia will lead all editorial decisions and oversee the management of the channel besides continuing his current role as Managing Editor of the ET Now where he also hosts the key The Market and Closing Trades shows.

  • Business Today beefs up top deck

    The India Today group’s business magazine, Business Today, is all set for a digital revamp – in text and video.

    As part of its plans, it has announced the appointment of Anirban Roy, formerly with The Wall Street Journal and Reuters, as Business Today’s Online Editor. It has also announced that financial journalist and anchor Aabha Bakaya as co-host of its upcoming Business Today TV show. Bakya was until very recently consultant anchor at ET Now, hosting its flagship ‘The Market’ and ‘Closing Trades’ shows.

     

    Notes a communique: “Ever since its inception in 1992, it [Business Today] has set new benchmarks in business reporting. Last month, the India Today Group announced the appointment of Udayan Mukherjee, the country’s biggest and undisputed icon in business journalism, as its Global Business Editor and host of a daily business show premiering on India Today from August 1. Earlier in July, the network named one of India’s most prominent magazine editors, Sourav Majumdar, as the new Editor of the Business Today Magazine, and Siddharth Zarabi, an award-winning journalist and former editor of Bloomberg TV, as the Managing Editor of Business Today TV.”

     

  • ET Now to warm up Canada

    It’s getting cold in Canada, but warming the winters there will be our own ET Now. Times Network has announced the launch of ET Now on Bell Fibe TV in Ontario and Québec through a distribution partnership with Ethnic Channels Group (ECG). Nextologies, a global leader in providing broadcast technology solutions, will transport the ET Now signal within Canada.

  • Rajnish Ahuja moves from being editor to head corp comm at ABP Network

    We’ve had editors move to corporate communication roles in the past, but that’s normally outside of the organisation. So a Sandeep Gurumurthi moved as head of editorial at ET Now to heading corp comm at the Aditya Birla group. There have been similar moves in the past. But this one at ABP Network is interesting as it’s within the organisation.

    So Rajnish Ahuja will be leading the corporate communications department, spearheading the company’s external relations, and stakeholder engagement.  Meanwhile, on an interim basis, the ABP News content team will be reporting to Sanjay Bragta and Sumit Awasthi for news gathering and news production, respectively.

  • IIFL runs #StayHomeStaySafe #StayInvested TV campaign

    IIFL Securities has launched a new campaign #StayHomeStaySafe #StayInvested with #IIFLMarkets App as it sees massive traction on its account opening and trading requests through the mobile app. More than half of IIFL customers trade through IIFLMarkets App and the numbers are rising significantly since March as lockdown is implemented to fight Covid-19.

     

    The campaign is live on leading business channels such as CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC Bajar and ET Now.

    Times Network has elevated Navika Kumar to the role of Group Editor- Politics, Times Network. With this, Kumar will have additional charge of driving political reporting strategy for ET Now and Mirror Now.

Her extensive knowledge and capabilities in the political space has immensely contributed to the channel’s leadership position.     So will we now see Mirror Now following the same political line as Times Now? Guess only time will tell.
