  • ABP News Network rejigs digital leadership

    ABP News Network’s digital platform, ABP Live, has restructured its workforce. The platform operates eight web portals in six different languages.

     

    Vijay Jung Thapa will be Chief Digital Officer. Ramakrishnan Laxman will be Digital Media Head and Allen Sharma will be the new Head – Digital Revenues. In this role, he will be accountable for direct sales, digital revenues, programmatic monetisation and brand solution monetization. Also Tushar Banerjee has been appointed Head- Digital Content Strategy.

The show deals with exposing criminals, making viewers aware of the current crime scenario, and also providing solutions on how to deal and cope with the rising crime in the country.   • ABP News appoints Mona Jain as Chief Revenue Officer

    ABP News Network has appointed senior media professional Mona Jain as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer. Jain will be responsible for the organisation’s revenue efforts across ANN channels, live events and digital platforms. Jain has spent nearly 30 years in media, marketing and promotions, the last six years have been in Zee Entertainment as Executive Vice President, AD Sales.

  • Uday Shankar delivers 2019 AAAI Subhas Ghosal Memorial Lecture

    Uday Shankar, President, The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific and Chairman, Star and Disney India delivered the AAAI Subhas Ghosal Memorial Lecture 2019 at Four Seasons, Worli, Mumbai on Monday.

     

    Outlining why he has been in media for 30 years and continues to be so, Shankar said, “My career, first as a journalist and then as a broader media professional, let me observe and understand this country deeply, objectively and uniquely. As I slowly discovered, my profession also equipped me with an ability to impact this country and its people – both individually and collectively – in a way that few, if any other professions could have. It is the media – the journalists; the advertisers; the story tellers who enable us to make sense of the world. My 30 years in the media industry feels like I am just getting started because it has allowed me to not only understand and experience India in an unbelievable way, but over the years we have become change agents for India.”

     

    Prabhakar Mundkur, a veteran from the advertising world and currently Brand Strategy Advisor and a frequent contributor to MxMIndia, reminisced about Ghosal gave the audience an insight into what made him an outstanding advertising man and a leader that the entire advertising industry loved and revered.

  • ABP News restructures newsroom top deck

    Leading news channel ABP News has restructured its editorial department.

     

    Rajnish Ahuja will be Senior Vice President, News and Programming, Sanjay Bragta as Vice President, News Gathering, Arun Nautiyal as Vice President, News Production, Sumit Awasthi as Vice President, Planning and Special Coverage, Vibha Kaul Bhatt as Associate Vice President, Programme Production and Anju Juneja will be Associate Vice President, Special Projects.

     

    Also, a new role of Associate Vice President, Production and Operations will be introduced to work in partnership with newsroom and technology teams. Nitin Sukhija will be heading the same.
