  • Rishabh Pant joins D2H as its Brand Ambassador

    D2H, the DTH brand of Dish TV, has announced the signing of Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant as the new brand ambassador. Rishabh Pant will feature in 360-degree brand communication for the next two years.

     

    Commenting on the association, Anil Dua, Executive Director & Group CEO, Dish TV India Ltd said: “We are delighted to have Rishabh Pant as brand ambassador for our D2H brand. Our brands are our biggest strength. This investment in the D2H brand is going to make it even stronger.   • Dish TV India app gets ‘Scan to help’ feature

    Leading DTH company Dish TV India has launched a new ‘Scan to Help’ feature for its DishTV subscribers. Executed and conceptualised by the first runner-up team of Dish-a-thon 2020.

     

    With this feature, the company aims to empower all existing and new subscribers for self-help in case of any technical errors on the set-top box.

  • Eros Now partners Dish TV

    Eros Now has announced a partnership with Dish TV whereby Dish TV and D2H users can access Eros Now’s content library including 12,000 plus movie titles, original shows, short-format content Quickie, music through their android set-top boxes – Dish SMRT Hub and D2H Stream, respectively.

  • Dish TV announces second edition of ‘Dish-a-thon 2020’

    After the success of its earlier hackathon, Dish TV India is set to hold the second season of hackathon ‘Dish-a-thon 2020’. The 48-hours hackathon is aimed at inviting disruptive ideas with participation of young innovators/ disruptors/ startups/ students/ developers across India.

  • Watcho records viewership gain during lockdown

    Dish TV has rolled out a variety of short format content on its OTT platform, Watcho. Over the past one month, a communique notes that the platform has witnessed a 50 per cent surge in content consumption, leading to a hike in their subscriber base and adding 1 million new subscribers in a month bringing it up to 3 million.

     

    Commenting on the development  Anil Dua, Executive Director & Group CEO, DishTV India Ltd, said: “We are excited to share that Watcho has witnessed solid growth in its customer base and content consumption since January’20. The rapid growth is the result of our strategy to create short, engaging content which is the preference of viewers nowadays.   • Dish TV India launches new offering, Shorts TV Active

    Dish TV announced the launch of a new value-added service ‘Shorts TV Active’ in partnership with ShortsTV, the TV channel dedicated to short movies. Customers can now enjoy an uncluttered ad-free HD films packed with 10000+ premium movie titles. The service is available at a nominal subscription price of Rs 59+ taxes per month.

  • Dish TV introduces ‘Ayushmaan Active’ service for senior citizens

    Dish TV has introduced a value-added service, ‘Ayushmaan Active’, in association with Dominiche Productions  to offer unique and engaging content to the senior citizen viewers on both of its brands; DishTV and d2h. Available on both the platforms for 45 days starting July 16, it is a service dedicated to engage and motivate seniors and enjoy meaningful TV time.

  • Dish TV partners with Kaltura to power its OTT platform – Watcho

    Dish TV has partnered with Kaltura, a video technology provider for its OTT platform Watcho. Kaltura TV Platform powers Watcho’s multiscreen access to linear, VOD and time-shifted TV along with third-party content.

  • Dish TV promotes d2h’s customised offerings in latest ad campaign

    Dish TV has launched a new TVC for its d2h brand targeted at rural audiences. The TVC highlights the discomfort caused due to withdrawal of channels from the free DTH platform and its impact on a regular family through the eyes of a mischievous kid.

    The current TVC highlights how D2H offers something different and how that enables the consumer to have a different point of view either in life or when it comes to watching television. The campaign brings alive the different product / service offerings D2H has in a youthful, vibrant way.

  • Initiative wins media mandate for Dish TV

    Initiative, the global full-service media agency network of IPG Mediabrands, has been awarded the media mandate of Dish TV India Limited. Dish TV India has two brands under its umbrella, Dish TV and Videocon d2h and Initiative will handle the entire media portfolio of both brands including digital.
