    Amagi has announced that it has launched a new broadcast monitoring facility in New Delhi. The facility can monitor up to a thousand channels with 24×7 support, and is powered by playout monitoring platform on the cloud, complete with ML-ready advanced automation capabilities.

  • SonyLIV partners Amagi to grow OTT revenues

    Amagi has announced that SonyLIV is using its Thunderstorm cloud-based platform for targeted OTT dynamic ad insertion. As part of the deal, Amagi will monetise premium GEC and movie channels on SonyLIV OTT platform, generating additional ad revenues for the hugely popular on-demand and linear OTT service.

  • Deepakjit Singh takes charge as CEO of Amagi

    Broadcast technology company, Amagi has named Deepakjit Singh as its chief executive officer (CEO). Prior to joining Amagi, Singh served as Chief Innovation Officer at Encompass and Managing Director for APAC region where he grew the company’s business exponentially.

     

    With nearly 30 years of experience in broadcast technology – including executive positions at Encompass, Ascent Media, Bharti Airtel, and BT, Singh has been brought in to increase the footprint of Amagi across the globe.

  • Amagi announces launch of Live Linear OTT Playout Platform

    Amagi has announced that TV networks and content owners can now launch live and linear OTT channels on the cloud, and operate a unified platform for linear, catch up, and Video-On-Demand (VoD) TV without any hardware.

     

    CLOUDPORT OTT supports advanced graphics functions including dynamic graphics, digital video effects, and real-time social media integration capability in addition to switching to live feeds. The platform is equipped with a live MCR capability on the cloud, and the entire OTT playout workflow can be managed remotely using a web-based UI.

  • Amagi unveils dubsmash contest across India

    Amagi has announced the launch of a new contest on the Dubsmash platform for people who want to advertise on TV. The winner of the ‘EK Lakh KaDubsmash’ contest will be awarded free commercial time worth INR 1 lakh on Zee News and IBN7. The winner will have the option to choose the award amongst one of the following markets – Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rest-of-Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, North East, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkand.

     

    The contest will accept submissions from March 23to April 13, 2016. Contestants should download the Dubsmash app on a smartphone, create a Dubsmash video lip-syncing with Amagi’s‘BadaSocho TV Socho’ commercial(which can be found in the Dubsmash library)and upload this videotoYouTube. The YouTube link needs to be shared on social channels across Facebook and Twitter using #BadaSochoTVSocho. On completion, contestants should fill out a form on the Amagi website and include a link to their YouTube video.   • Amagi launches new TVC aimed at SMEs

    Technology-driven ad network Amagi has launched a TVC campaign titled ‘Bada Socho TV Socho’ encouraging entrepreneurs to target their audience on national TV. Amagi’s patented watermarking technology enables it to split national ad inventory and sell it regionally to advertisers for as little as Rs 250.
