  • Airtel Xstream’s campaign by Equinox

    By A Correspondent

Advertising production house Equinox Films has created a new campaign for Airtel Xstream titled ‘Jo Dekho, Bada Dekho’.

The campaign has conceptualised by Arun Iyer’s Spring Marketing Capital and directed by Nitin Parmar, Equinox Films.

Talking about the campaign, Shashwat Sharma, Chief Marketing & Brand Officer at Bharti Airtel said: “With Airtel Xstream, we aim to transform entertainment at home, in India. The content consumption habits have changed dramatically with users viewing content both across linear TV and App based new age content on mobile. We felt why should the best content out there be confined to viewing on small screen? Airtel Xstream enables a seamless viewing experience across both genres, on your large TV screen. Our partners Spring and Equinox have done a great job in bringing alive the larger-than-life viewing experience of Xstream, in this campaign. So from today –  ‘Jo Dekho Bada Dekho’.

Heading the creative team, Arun Iyer, Founding Partner at Spring Marketing Capital said, “Airtel Xstream is a viewing experience like never before. Most people end up consuming content on their small screens and that is far from optimum. Which led us to the thought of Jo Dekho Bada Dekho. The execution was complex but Nitin and the team from Equinox were a delight to collaborate with in bringing this vision to life.”

Added Nitin Parmar, Director at Equinox Films: “It’s always a pleasure collaborating with Airtel and the team at Spring. Making a commercial is a collaborative, team effort at the best of times and during the pandemic we really got a sense of how true that statement really is. The challenge with this commercial in particular was to visually explain the features of the product in a way that felt immersive and fun – Like a roller coaster ride. Tonnes of conference calls with creatives, client and technicians; hundreds of hours of zoom calls (sometimes across time zones) later- we are really happy with the end result. Airtel allows us to keep pushing our boundaries whilst keeping the creativity intact, and that’s what we love most about working with them”.

  • Jio,Airtel,Netflix,Apple,Tata Sky top Kantar CX+ 2020 TMT

    By A Correspondent

Jio, Airtel, Netflix, Apple, Tata Sky have topped the Kantar CX+ 2020 for TMT. The Kantar CX+ report evaluates the CX performance of companies in the Telecom, Media and Technology sectors, using the Kantar’s CX+ index. CX+ is a sector-specific index to look at brands in the context of their category. It uses customer centricity as its core to evaluate CX performance of a company.

As per a communique, the basic premise of CX+ is that brand and customer experience have become synonymous, in this increasingly connected environment.

The roadmap to delivering a holistic experience is based on five key CX success factors:

    1. Clarity of brand promise

    2. Empowered employees

    3. Empowered customers

    4. Creating lasting memories

    5. Reinforcement of brand choice

Additionally, the study also identifies each brand’s Experience Gap – which quantifies the difference between the Brand Promise and the actual customer experience delivered.

The CX+ index for each brand is derived based on a combination of the CX Performance and the Experience Gap.

The TMT study covered Telecom Network Providers, Media Streaming Platforms and Handheld Devices. In this study conducted in early 2020, clear winners emerged in each of the sectors.

Commenting on the launch of the CX+ TMT report findings, Sushmita Balasubramaniam, Domain Lead for CX and Commerce – South Asia, Insights Division, Kantar said: “The landscape across the TMT sectors has changed drastically over the last one year. Consumers’ adoption of and dependence on digital, whether for basic everyday living, working, studying or entertainment has presented enormous challenges to companies in these sectors. And, the changes in usage of products and services will also mean that customer priorities on the kind of experience they are seeking will be different from the pre-Covid era.”

Added Soumya Mohanty, Chief Client Officer, South Asia, Insights Division, Kantar: “In the current scenario, with tech convergence and emerging global media giants, the world will see vigorous competition in the TMT sector. This is an arena where tech credentials will become increasingly hygiene, CX will be critical. As network services providers, handheld device brands and streaming media providers, all will leverage customer data to build personalised journeys, CX and owning the relationship with the end user will become increasingly important.”

Kantar CX+ 2020: Leaders in the TMT sector in India

The Kantar CX+ TMT 2020 study analysed 6,000+ customers drawn from users across the sectors in India and was conducted in early 2020.

  • Taproot Dentsu & Airtel launch ‘Recharge Revolution’

    By A Correspondent

Airtel has launched its latest campaign ‘Recharge Revolution’ conceptualised and executed by Taproot Dentsu. The commercial highlights recharging facilities at ATMs and Pharmacy stores. The film has been shot indoors across Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Noida while adhering to the norms and guidelines of the lockdown.

Commenting on the film, Pallavi Chakravarti, Executive Creative Director, Taproot Dentsu said: “Some services are more essential than others. I think the past few months have taught us that telecom is one of them. Cooped up indoors, a single day spent without data or good signal strength meant losing touch with loved ones and the outside world at large. So, imagine the setback millions of prepaid users would have faced with the lockdown shutting down recharge stores everywhere. Airtel rose to the challenge and in a short span of time, changed the face of recharging as we knew it. The ad just captures what actually happened – nothing more, nothing less, and that’s the beauty of it.”
