    ABP News has unveiled the second season of its show, Pradhanmantri. The show delves into the stories and intricacies of contemporary India and the season will premiere on January 25, 2020. The show will be hosted by producer and actor, Shekhar Kapur.

The show deals with exposing criminals, making viewers aware of the current crime scenario, and also providing solutions on how to deal and cope with the rising crime in the country.   • ABP News restructures newsroom top deck

    Leading news channel ABP News has restructured its editorial department.

     

    Rajnish Ahuja will be Senior Vice President, News and Programming, Sanjay Bragta as Vice President, News Gathering, Arun Nautiyal as Vice President, News Production, Sumit Awasthi as Vice President, Planning and Special Coverage, Vibha Kaul Bhatt as Associate Vice President, Programme Production and Anju Juneja will be Associate Vice President, Special Projects.

     

    Also, a new role of Associate Vice President, Production and Operations will be introduced to work in partnership with newsroom and technology teams. Nitin Sukhija will be heading the same.

  • ABP News, Republic max views on YouTube on Counting Day

    Although television is still the preferred medium for watching news television, that on the internet is rising steadily. A quick scan on Vidooly (https://vidooly.com/live-stats/indian-election-results-2019-on-youtube) by MxMIndia saw the ABPNews touch 8.32 lakh concurrent users at around 10am, and Republicworld had 65,000 users at 11am. These were the highest amongst Hindi and English news channels.

     

    Interesting, the Republicworld grew to around 80,000 users in the evening that of the Hindi news channels dipped by evening.

    And before the action starts on the political front, Milind Khandekar, Managing Editor, ABP News has decided to move on after a 14-year stint with the organisation. Rajnish Ahuja, who is currently  Associate Managing Editor,ABP News will be taking charge of ABP News editorial on an interim basis.

     

    Confirming the development, Avinash Pandey, COO, ABP News Network said: “Mr Khandekar has been instrumental in shaping and strengthening the editorial structure at ANN during this illustrious association. His service has been indeed much valuable to the organization. It has been an honor working with a wonderful colleague like him all these past years.   • ABP News unveils Mahakavi with Kumar Vishwas

    ABP News will pay tribute to legendary Indian poets who have made a prominent place for Hindi poetry in the world of literature through its new show ‘Mahakavi’. The 10-episode series will be anchored poet Kumar Vishwas and each episode will encapsulate the life and works of great Indian poets like Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Dushyant Kumar, SuryakantTripathiNirala, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Sudama Pandey Dhumil and many more. Vishwas will also recite and sing selected popular poems of the chosen Hindi poets. This weekly series will debut on ABP News from November 5 on weekends (Sat-Sun) at 10pm.

  • ABP News flags off Bharatvarsh with Anupam Kher

    In the last few months, ABP News has been constantly working on revamping its prime time shows. Amongst the big changes, channel launched its 9pm news bulletin “Jan Man” with Dibang which talks about the big news of the day and its impact on the common man’s life. The next big programme in pipeline is “Bharatvarsh”.

     

    Bharatvarsh will take viewers on a journey from ancient India to the 19th century by showcasing the life stories of India’s major figures, who had a defining impact on the formation and evolution of the country. Anchored by Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, ‘Bharatvarsh’ will present thoughts and ideologies of such varied personalities.
