  • Coke & Ogilvy unveil a new experiential campaign

    This Ganesh Chaturthi, Coca-Cola and WPP Open X led by Ogilvy have unveiled a new experiential campaign tagged – Happy to Queue.

    The Happy to Queue experience at the Andheri Cha Raja celebration during Ganesh Utsav took the shape of a Coke bottle, where festival-goers were greeted with mist fans, aromatic Coca-Cola bubbles, and, of course, a chilled bottle of the cola drink.

    Said Kaushik Prasad, Senior Director, Marketing for Coca-Cola category at The Coca-Cola Company’s India and Southwest Asia Operating Unit: “At Coca-Cola, we believe there is real magic in people coming together, celebrating shared moments and living the vibrance of our rich culture. With “Happy to Queue”, we wanted people to enjoy the festive cheer in a new way, celebrating togetherness and the effervescence of life, much like sharing a chilled bottle of Coke.”

    Added Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India: “Real Magic is when you can make standing in a line exciting & refreshing.   • Shailesh Gupta to stay MRUCI chair, promises return of IRS

    The Media Research Users Council India (MRUCI) held its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, September 12. Shailesh Gupta, Wholetime Director, Jagran Prakashan Ltd will continue as Chairman. Vikram Sakhuja was announced as Vice Chairman.  Sakhuja takes over the mantle from Shashank Srivastava.

    New members have also been appointed to the Board of Governors:

    1. Jayant Mammen Mathew, Director, MM TV Ltd.
    2. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

  • Foxtale launches first brand film

    Foxtale, a skincare brand for women, has unveiled its first brand film. To extend the authenticity and purpose of their first-ever brand film, Foxtale along with creative agency, Studio Simple, also conceptualised the original soundtrack that serves as the background score.

  • NueGo launches a digital campaign

    NueGo, the intercity electric bus brand, unveiled a campaign christened ‘A Small Step’.  This was to commemorate World EV Day which was observed yesterday (September 9).

  • Zee Media onboards Rajesh Sareen as CRO

    Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) has appointed Rajesh Sareen as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will report to Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of ZMCL.

  • Nikhil Singhal appointed WCC President for India

    The World Cricket Council (WCC) has appointed media professional and entrepreneur Nikhil Singhal as President for the India region. Singhal runs Vigor Media Worldwide.

    The Board of the Directors of the WCC has also appointed Som Mandal, Managing Partner, Fox Mandal as Vice President.

    Said Dr Hari Om Tyagi, Chairman, World Cricket Council: “I am pleased to welcome visionary leaders Nikhil Singhal and Som Mandal aboard.   • Sachin Kalbag is back at Mid-Day, as Editor-in-Chief

    Senior journalist Sachin Kalbag has been appointed Editor-in-Chief (Print and Digital). He has joined the Dainik Jagran group-owned Mumbai daily today. He will also oversee the group’s weekly paper, Sunday Mid-Day and the website, mid-day.com.

    This is Kalbag’s third stint with the paper, having joined it as a trainee in 1994. He has also worked across various publications over the last three decades, and other than being Editor of Mid-Day from 2011 to 2015, he was also Resident Editor of The Hindu’s Mumbai edition (2015-18) and Executive Editor of Hindustan Times (2018-22). Since 2022, he has been working with The Takshashila Institution as Senior Fellow. For a bit, he was also Washington DC correspondent with the now-suspended DNA newspaper.

    Kalbag takes charge from Tinaz Nooshian who has moved on.

     

     

  • Halder Group redesigns Odaana oil packaging

  • Lay’s & Huemn collaborate

    Lay’s potato chips has teamed up with the fashion label Huemn to launch a limited-edition merchandise collection.

  • People Matters elevates Pushkaraj Bidwai to CEO

    People Matters, the media platform and community for HR and Talent leaders in India and APAC,  has announced a leadership transition following its complete acquisition by Mynavi Corporation, one of Japan’s largest HR companies. Pushkaraj Bidwai, one of the founding members and previously Chief Business Officer at People Matters, has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors. He succeeds Ester Martinez, the Founder & CEO, who has decided to step down after 15 successful years to explore personal interests.
