    If you were wondering why we didn’t carry this report earlier, the answer is simple: yesterday, the focus couldn’t have not been on the Zee-Sony merger. Last Friday, The Advertising Club hosted the newest edition of the ‘Effie India Awards 2023’ Mondelez India was judged the EFFIE India Client of the Year, while McCann Worldgroup India was named Effie India Agency of the Year. The coveted Grand Effie was won by Enormous for Jaquar’s campaign ‘Unimaginable Brand Extensions.’

    Setting a new milestone, Effie India, informed the officebearers,  garnered a record-breaking 1276 entries this year, the highest in its 23-year history, with participation from 79 agencies.

  • Dentsu Creative bags mandate for 4 Sony channels

    Dentsu Creative India has won the digital mandate for Sony Entertainment Television, Sony SAB, Sony MAX, and Sony MAX 2, and will be responsible for managing the online presence and marketing campaigns of these brands across social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

    The account was awarded to Dentsu Creative India following a multi-agency pitch. The agency will service the channels from its Mumbai office and will work closely with the brand teams to create and execute innovative digital strategies.

  • Act Fibernet State of Internet Report

    Act Fibernet, the fibre broadband internet service provider, has released its two-year State of the Internet report highlighting internet usage and data consumption trends in India between January December 2022 and November 2023.

    The findings from across 24 cities have further revealed a significant 52% increase in the consumption of the highest bandwidth. While average data used per month has increased by 25%, average downloads per month have increased by 27% in the last two years. With people returning to the office, the new prime time for internet consumption at home is 8 pm to 11 pm.
