    By Our Staff

Kurkure snacks has unveiled a new TVC campaign celebrating its new sub-brand – Kurkure Playz. Kurkure Playz comes in two international dairy flavoured offerings, Kurkure Playz Puffcorn and the all-new Kurkure Playz Pastax. Kurkure Playz Puffcorn has a distinct shape with a light texture and comes in cheese flavour whilst the all-new Kurkure Playz Pastax has a creamy, herb and onion flavour in a pasta-shaped bite.

Speaking about the new film, Neha Prasad, Associate Director and Brand Lead, Kurkure said: “Kurkure has always kept its consumers at the centre and connected with them through innovative product offerings and quirky, masaledaar storytelling. The Kurkure Playz launch is a big entry in the rapidly growing soft texture snacks in two formats – puffed and pellet. We are excited about our new ‘Halke Mein Lo’ campaign, as it encourages the youth to not get hassled by the daily squabbles and to take a lighter approach to life by adding a dose of masti to any given situation.”

Further discussing the campaign, Vikram Pandey (Spiky), National Creative Director – Leo Burnett added: “The film introduces the new Kurkure Playz and while we wanted to keep the light-hearted quirky tonality of Kurkure, we also wanted to add a playful dimension to the new products. We bring this alive with our ‘Halke Mein Lo’ proposition – where the film places the characters in extraordinary situation of finding a ghost in the room. However, the story takes an unusually cool and hilarious turn when the protagonist takes things lightly.”

They have been leading the Fight Club (the creative brain trust of the agency) to produce and incubate new-age work done for some of our biggest brands – ‘The Nation’s Bike’ and ‘Invincible Indians’ for Bajaj V, ‘Salaam Loans’ for Tata Capital – among so much more for Google, HDFC Life and others. Speaking about the promotions, Sinha said: “The greatest thing about Leo Burnett is the ‘boundarylessness’ of our talent. Our best talent is available for our clients irrespective of their geography. They have contributed hugely to the new business wins of the agency and have added value to clients across offices. These promotions are a formalisation of the roles that they are already playing. These elevations are timely as we enter 2019 on the back of great momentum of 2018, both, in terms of business growth and global recognition.”

Brand Gagan is an integral part of their lives as it carries the same attitude. Festivals are mainly where this attitude comes alive. We see an opportunity to talk to our consumers carrying the same attitude. This attempt is also the same, whereby, we are simply telling consumers to ‘celebrate Holi with colours and food’. Yes, in our own unique

Throwing light on the campaign, Vikram Pandey, Executive Creative Director, Leo Burnett India said: “Do’s and don’ts around festivals can be quite a downer. While for Diwali we positivised the ban on crackers, we took up ‘Save Water’ for Holi. With quirky execution as the brand language, this one delivers a Happy Holi message that’s like no other.”

  • HDFC Life unveils new ad campaign

    By A Correspondent

HDFC Life has launched a new marketing campaign targeted at a niche investor segment that is well versed with ULIPs and is experienced in online buying. The campaign aims to raise awareness about HDFC Life’s second generation online ULIP – Click2Invest. Click2Invest is a unique online Unit Linked Insurance plan that offers not just financial protection but also a range of investment options. This first of its kind of plan is extremely cost effective as it invests 100 per cent of the premium and only charges fund management fee and a risk premium for mortality cover.

    Sanjay Tripathy

Commenting on the new campaign, Sanjay Tripathy, Senior EVP – Marketing, Product, Digital & Ecommerce, HDFC Life said, “Click2Invest has been a game changing plan for the life insurance industry. It passes all benefits to customers by offering 100% premium investment with just fund management and mortality charges – no premium allocation, policy administration and discontinuance fee. On this aspect, it directly competes with ELSS Mutual funds & at the same time retains all the flexibilities offered by ULIPs.

This is the first time that HDFC Life has created an ad that is not entirely based on the emotional quotient but is banking more on a pragmatic ground of investment versus returns. When an investor puts his money in a financial product, his greatest concern is to know about the returns. We have used this very insight to communicate the simple message of the benefits of Click2Invest. The story of the ad is woven around the low charges and how over a period of time, the reduction in charges helps to build a bigger corpus thereby making Click2Invest a superior investment plan over other ULIPs.

On the campaign, Vikram Pandey, Executive Creative Director, Leo Burnett, said “ULIP Investments are often subject to numerous charges. So they do grow, but not to their best potential. This ad, in an innovative way, explains how a small difference in charges today can lead to a big difference in your final savings tomorrow.”

HDFC Life plans to take its new campaign to the customer through different platforms and intensify the brand experience.
