  • The PM Factor, new show on TV9 Bharatvarsh

    In the run-up to the Big Election Year, TV9 Bharatvarsh has announced a show titled ‘The PM Factor’. To air on weekdays at 10.20pm, ‘The PM Factor’ will feature global and Indian thought leaders across domains. The show will decode the India perspective and showcase what truly makes India the toast of the globe, notes a communique.

     

    Said Paritosh Chaturvedi, Deputy Managing Editor, TV9 Bharatvarsh: “This is a significant year in view of India’s G20 Presidency. The world is looking at India for leadership across domains and the Show will aggregate views of all these thought leaders and capture their India perspective. We will employ an objective stand on what drives global interest in India and how to leverage it to sustain the momentum.”

     

  • Dinesh Gautam joins Times Now Navbharat

    Senior journalist Dinesh Gautam has joined Times Now Navbharat as Consulting Editor. He served TV9 Bharatvarsh as Senior Executive Editor for around three years. He has also worked with India News, ETV Bharat, Live India, Sahara News Network and Zee News in the past.

     

    Notes a communique: “Dinesh has also been inclined towards fiction. He has written and directed many plays and written a film ”Ab Dilli Dur Nahin” which soon is due for release”

     

  • TV9 Bharatvarsh to be helmed by Deep Upadhyay

    TV9 Network has announced the appointment of Deep Upadhyay, Editor, Convergence & Strategy as head of TV9 Bharatvarsh. Sant Prasad Rai, the erstwhile Managing Editor of TV9 Bharatvarsh has been relieved from his day to day newsroom responsibilities with immediate effect.

     

    Upadhyay will be supported by Rahul Chaudhary in managing the day-to-day newsroom operations for the time being, a communique added.

     

  • TV9 Bharatvarsh hosts second edition of its summit series

    TV9 Bharatvarsh, the Hindi news channel from TV9 Network, held the second edition of its political summit series ‘Satta Sammelan – Uttar Pradesh’ in Lucknow.

     

    Addressing and deliberating upon a range of topics in the political space, the leaders expressed their opinions on issues deciding the political future of the state. The Summit saw politician’s field questions from the invited audience on key challenges for the state.

     

    Sharing his opinion on the second edition of this summit, Barun Das, CEO, TV9 Network said: “The ‘Satta Sammelan’ proposition has grown from strength to strength drawing on valuable insights of top leaders who have chosen this platform to air their vision for voters.   • TV9 Network back in NBA

    News Broadcasters Association (NBA) has announced that it’s glad to have Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt. Ltd, that’s the TV9 Network back in its membership.

     

    Notes a communique: “There has been discourse in the public domain regarding the differences between NBA and TV9 Bharatvarsh. After discussing the matter mutually, NBA and TV9 have agreed to set their differences aside and not to pursue the matter legally. We look forward to working together with all the members in addressing the larger issues facing the news broadcasting industry.”

     

    Said TV9 CEO Barun Das: “TV9 Network is delighted to return to NBA. As one of its founding members, I have proudly witnessed the long strides the NBA has taken in the rough terrain of self-regulation and in furthering the interests of the industry.   • TV9 & Sap India launch show on homegrown entrepreneurs

    TV9 Network in association with technology major SAP India has launced a series titled Leaders of Global Bharat to turn the spotlight on business mentors of home-grown firms. Airing every Sunday at 11:30m am on news channel TV9 Bharatvarsh, the series will showcase success stories of over 150 entrepreneurs who have the potential to galvanise and inspire the youth and budding entrepreneurs of this country.

     

    Explaining the rationale behind the series, Raktim Das, COO, TV9 Studio, said: “There’s never been a more apt time to look at robust leadership lessons that have steered businesses through these extraordinary times. The Covid-19 induced New Normal has sharpened the focus on business leaders who continue to inspire us, mentor us.   • MxM Live: TV9 CEO Barun Das responds to naysayers

    Over the last few weeks, there have been rumblings in the news broadcast world given the sudden rise of Hindi news channel of TV9 Bharatvarsh. The network’s CEO Barun Das spoke with Pradyuman Maheshwari, Editor-in-Chief, MxMIndia on specific allegations levelled by rivals.

    Das is an alumnus of IIT Madras, IIM Calcutta and the London School of Economics and has over 25 years of experience in the media sector, both in India and abroad.

     

    His last corporate assignment was with Zee News Ltd (now Zee Media Corporation Ltd) as its CEO where he held that position for five years. Prior to this, he held leadership positions at MCCS (now ABP Network), the India Today Group, ABP etc. He has worked as Head of International Business at Astro All Asia, Networks Plc. Kuala Lumpur. After his stint in Zee, Das turned an entrepreneur and build his start up focusing on the convergence of technology, content and healthcare.
