  • Taco Bell new campaign

    By A Correspondent

Taco Bell, the Mexican-inspired restaurant brand, has announced the launch of its new Best Of Bell menu, which offers Taco Bell’s signature menu items at attractive prices. And to launch it, its agency PWW-BBH India has conceptualised a campaign.

Said Russell Barrett, CCO & CEO, PWW-BBH India: “Taco Bell is one of the most exciting brands to work on in the world and has a rich history of making disruptive moves in the market and disruptive advertising too. We needed to land the unbelievable value that the #BestofBell carries and we needed to do it with the Taco Bell wink. It was quite a challenge to make this film happen with the current constraints, but a brilliant team led by Nivedita Agashe in creative and Chetan Mane in account management, along with the director Siva made it possible.”

  • Taco Bell unveils Season 2 of ‘Big Bell Box’

    By A Correspondent

Taco Bell has begun streaming the second season of its Big Bell Box meal offering across all its restaurants. This new launch is being supported by a digital campaign that builds on the growing popularity of the OTT space in India.

For this campaign, Taco Bell has collaborated with leading web-series stars – Radhika Apte, Vikrant Massey and Kubbra Sait to develop quirky brand storytelling.

Sharing his thoughts on the digital campaign, Gaurav Burman, Director, Burman Hospitality Private Limited, Taco Bell’s exclusive franchisee partner in India, said: “Further to the much loved first edition, we are excited for the launch of our unique value meal offering, the Big Bell Box. The offering brings together all our Taco Bell favourites in one box at a very enticing price and value. We are proud of our digital campaign, ‘Streaming now at a Taco Bell near you’, that we have designed for this launch. It is a reflection of our efforts to have our finger on the pulse of our consumers and innovate for them. We hope that our loyal consumers and well-wishers will appreciate the campaign and make it a huge success”.

Added Sidharth Shukla, Vice President and Head of Digital, Ogilvy India: “When we launched the Big Bell Box earlier in the year, in addition to the insight of ‘paisa vasool’, we knew, it would be much more relevant if we somehow linked it to the release of some of the most iconic movies which were coming out – Avengers, Godzilla, etc. because that was a trending topic for our demographic. This time around, we were cognizant of the fact that OTT was the hot topic – thanks to the likes of Sacred Games 2 and Mirzapur. The insight for this edition and the last one has not changed, what we have done is looked at the execution differently, basis the pulse of the consumer today which has also influenced our choice of cast for Big Bell Box Season 2”.

  • Taco Bell unveils campaign to promote ‘Quesalupa’

    By A Correspondent

Taco Bell announced the launch of its latest product innovation, the Quesalupa, a crossover between a Quesadilla and a Chalupa. The brand has launched a digital campaign to promote the new offering.

Said Sidharth Shukla, Senior Vice President & Head of Digital, Ogilvy Delhi: “Our task was to introduce the Quesalupa, a unique product made only by Taco Bell. It’s not a familiar word, just figuring out its pronunciation can be a mystery, and the fact that it isn’t really a taco even though it is shaped as one (and is actually a chalupa). We strategically focused on Quesalupa being a new delight for cheese lovers, who are crazy about cheesy fries or cheese pizzas.”

  • Taco Bell promotes new product offering via latest ad film

    By A Correspondent

Taco Bell announced the launch of its latest product ‘Chickstar Wrap’, a star-shaped tortilla, filled with crispy chicken, veggies and signature sauces from the house of Taco Bell. The campaign was conceptualised by Taco Bell’s agency-on-record – Ogilvy Delhi.

Expressing his excitement on the new product launch, Ankush Tuli, Managing Director, Taco Bell – Asia Pacific, said: “As we continue to grow in number of restaurants and fan base, we stay committed to bringing new innovations to the Indian food scene. We are now excited to introduce a Taco Bell twist on the traditional chicken burger through the ‘Chickstar Wrap’. Following the successful launches of Naked Chicken Tacos and Crispy Potaco, we are confident that Chickstar Wrap will not only introduce consumers to new and bold flavors, but will also encourage the consumers to try never before seen formats in the out-of-home food category.”

Added Sidharth Shukla, Vice President & Head of Digital, Ogilvy Delhi: “Our insight was based on the fact that for our target audience trying out experiences is essential. It comes out of a ‘want’ to discover new things and equally from a realization that there is nevertheless a certain rut which has seeped into day to day life.  An embodiment of these feelings, we felt, was reflected in the numerous “What’s up?” or “Aur Bata” questions that we receive as we go about our day – The Chickstar Wrap here is the symbolic answer, counter and comeback to this question – putting a new spin from both a format and a taste perspective to a food item which has largely remained unchanged since we have known it. The film remains true to the Taco Bell style that we are now so familiar with – slices of life, witty, young, all of which add to making it very relatable to the audience we wish to engage with.”
