  • Sapna Arora appointed CMO at Olx India

    E-comm platform Olx has announced the appointment of Sapna Arora as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In her new role, Arora will be responsible for leading the brand marketing initiatives of the company. Previously, she has served in various leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Nestle and Bennett Coleman and has extensive experience of nurturing billion dollar brands such as Pantene, Whisper, Tampax, Tide, Stouffer’s, and Mortein, among others.

     

    Said Sushil Kumar, General Manager, Olx India: “Olx has been at the forefront of creating the thriving digital classifieds industry in India. We have been, in the past, able to develop a differentiated market standing synonymous to the pre-owned goods in India. As the brand takes the next big leap in its positioning in India, Sapna will spearhead the brand’s marketing journey with her accomplished vision and experience. She has worked on some of the most iconic brands in India and we look forward to her contribution in our next phase of growth.

  • Triton makes tyre brand Ralson flex its muscles

    Triton Communications has reintroduced Ralco Tyres, one of India’s largest manufacturers of bicycle and automobile tyres, into the competitive tyre market, with more grip than ever.

     

    Announcing this, Yogeshwar Sharma, DGM – Advertising & PR, Ralson India Limited, underlined that brand Ralco/Ralson and champion wrestler Sushil Kumar complement each other quite perfectly; with strength, endurance and grip as attributes that qualify both the champions. Speaking about the association, Sushil Kumar added, “Aji hamare India ki sadkein akhade se kam thode hi hain.” – Indian roads are no less than the wrestling ring. “Ek akhade ka toh champion main hoon.   • KBC winner guest edits Prabhat Khabar for a day

    From being a face in the billion-plus fellow Indians, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 5 winner is a star. With reason. Hailing from a humble background, the man achieved what several others — with more privileged upbringing – could not. The Rs 5 crore jackpot.

    So, Sushil Kumar ‘Motihari ka Moti’ (pearl of Motihari) was Guest Editor of the Muzzafarpur edition of Prabhat Kabhar on Monday. Mr Kumar was in the office as early as 6am and went on occupying the Guest Ed’s chair till 7pm. He carefully went through the day’s news reports and also got a feel of the newspaper’s operations.

    When Mr Kumar charmed the newspaper’s staff,  that he had turned into a star was evident from the dignitaries who visited the newsroom for an audience. Also, around 14,000 phone calls were made to the allocated numbers, Mr K K Goenka, Managing Director of Neutral Publishing House (publishers of the Ranchi-based Prabhat Khabar) told MxMIndia.
