  • BBDO India appoints Suraja Kishore as CEO

    By A Correspondent

It takes the brand message and creatively weaves in the insight that a perfect job is crucial to earning a perfect reputation in the market. And with Asian Paints Adhesives, you will always get a perfect job done!”

Added Suraja Kishore, Executive VP & GM – McCann Mumbai: “Adhesives as a category have been far too long stuck in a grimy sweaty functional space. Coming from Asian Paints, key point of difference for our adhesives is that it helps carpenters achieve not just function but also form and finesse. To bring alive this point our campaign creatively amplifies the idea that liability of not using Asian Paints Adhesives is to be remembered for a shoddy job. The insight that every time a furniture makes a creaking noise we don’t blame the adhesives we rather blame the carpenter has been cleverly amplified in an amusing manner. We are excited to rewrite the rules of the category and make Asian Paints adhesive synonymous with design and décor rather than mere functional benefit of just great bonding.”

  • Nycil back with a new brand proposition for summer

    By A Correspondent

Nycil, the prickly heat powder from the Kraft Heinz Company is back with a refreshing campaign this year establishing its new proposition. Focusing on five summer problems of the skin such as sweat, body odor, rashes, itching and prickly heat, the brand advocates enjoying summers without any tension, with the protection of Nycil. With a heritage of more than 50 years, Nycil is popularly known for its anti-bacterial properties and its efficacy in curing and preventing prickly heat problems.

Creatively conceptualized and executed by McCann, the campaign advocates the use of Nycil to fight against common skin problems caused during summer. The film starts with a young boy reluctant to play out in the sun fearing it would cause skin problems like sweat, stickiness, odour, rashes and prickly heat. Just then his friend’s mother intervenes to explain to the kids how the right powder can prevent skin problems during summer.

Commenting on the new campaign, Vikramjeet Singh, CMO, Kraft Heinz India said, “Nycil enjoys the position of a market leader across the country and it is the most preferred powder in the PHC (prickly heat & cooling) category. Through this new campaign, we aim to educate the consumers on using Nycil for the 5 common summer skin problems; which no other PHP can effectively claim to cure. This was a natural progression since the brand is clinically proven to fight the bacteria that cause skin problems led by summer”.

Speaking from a creative perspective, Suraja Kishore, National Planning Head, McCann said, “Nycil is a heritage brand with very strong associations on prickly heat. The challenge was to reinforce Nycil as the expert solution for summers. We are happy to bring to life the proposition in an engaging set up of kids’ banter.”

  • Cigna TTK’s says ‘YES’ to heath to their consumers in its new brandcampaign

    By A Correspondent

Cigna TTK Health Insurance, a joint venture between U.S. based global health service leader, Cigna Corporation (NYSE:CI) and Indian conglomerate TTK Group, unveiled the # say ‘YES’  to health campaign.

Improving the health, well-being and sense of security of the people we serve is an imperative at Cigna TTK Health Insurance. This is the underlying philosophy of everything we do. Right from the design of the products to the way we deliver them. A deep dive into the consumer mindsets showed that when a consumer is planning to buy health insurance, there are many questions and apprehensions in their minds on the benefits of health insurance – leaving consumers with a feeling that when the moment of truth arrives they may not benefit. Cigna TTK’s brand strategy has been to partner their consumer in illness and in wellness. In this campaign the brand partners the consumers in the decision making process and builds a relationship that drives brand preference.

Speaking on launch of the new campaign, Sapna Desai, Head, Marketing and Communications, Cigna TTK Health Insurance said, “Our new  # say ‘YES’ to health campaign is designed to infuse positivity and affirmation for the set of consumers who are aware of health insurance, and are considering buying but are unable to make the final decision. The campaign leverages the product and service truths to differentiate and provide exclusive value to our customers based on their diverse needs.”

Adds Suraja Kishore, National Planning Head McCann, “In a country that’s witnessing a rise in health consciousness, subscribing to health insurance should be an obvious idea, but it’s clearly not the case. Consumer immersions we undertook revealed to us the reason for this gap. Consumer dissonance and confusion arising from hidden clauses in fine italics, and conditions-apply-asterixkeep consumers away from buying into the category.”

Cigna TTK # say ‘YES’ to health campaign is insightfully designed to assure and reinforce our promise of being a true partner in illness and wellness. The guiding philosophy is built around finding favorable product & service solutions at all times for example ensuring coverage worldwide in times of a medical emergencies, lowering premiums as a reward for staying healthy, restoring your sum insured to the full extent if it gets exhausted due to any other medical condition etc.”

The approach of this campaign is to keep the communication simple and endearing. The campaign will focus on print as the lead medium, with the support of radio & digital. Social media will be deployed both for awareness and engagement, as an always-on approach.

  • Parachute Advansed Body Lotion unveils a new campaign

    By A Correspondent

Parachute Advansed Body Lotion (PABL) has launched its latest digital campaign. The digital video portrays how society comments on the choices the modern day woman makes. It begins with people along the street ogling at a girl wearing a short skirt, to another girl wearing a sleeveless tee-shirt. It transitions to the next scene where the girl is advised to cover herself with a ‘dupatta’ as the voiceover goes – “Sunoh, issey dupatta pehnao”.

The campaign then portrays different scenes, wherein the modern woman faces scrutiny. From wearing backless clothes, to revealing dresses, to tops that attract attention, the judgement keeps pouring in. It ends with a girl being judged for wearing ‘aunty wale kapde’ as she dresses conservatively, and finally a woman wearing traditional clothes rides away on a motorcycle as the voiceover goes – “zyada bano mat…zyada tano mat”. Through the subtle sarcasm, the campaign communicates that the judgement of society should never stop women from being their real selves, rightfully capturing the essence of PABL.

Commenting on the launch of the digital campaign, Anuradha Aggarwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Marico Limited said, “With this campaign, PABL reinforces the belief that she has the freedom to wear what she wants and be truly confident in her skin, both literally and metaphorically.”

Said Suraja Kishore, National Head Planning, McCann: “India is changing. At the heart of the change are its women. When we met with women across big and small towns we realised that women have changed, society has not. The revelation was that women are making changes despite odds and social hypocrisy. They are increasingly becoming comfortable and confident with their new-found identities and newer roles. In a culture like ours brands have to move on from being an ‘enabler’ to a ‘believer’. Parachute Advansed Body Lotion believes in the fact that today’s women are confident in their skin. They are confidently wearing what they please. As a believer brand we are celebrating this new narrative and we are certain this will bring the brand closer to our consumers.”
