    Multilingual microblogging and social networking service Koo has announced the appointment of Sunil Kamath as Chief Business Officer. Sunil will lead growth strategies, marketing, business partnerships, monetization and expansion at Koo.

  • ShareChat report highlights key UGC trends

    ShareChat has announced its year-end ‘2019 UGC Trendz’ report for India. The report talks about the key UGC trends and topics that are driving online conversations amongst its 60 million monthly active users spread across 15 languages currently.

     

    Entertainment has topped the trend with over 23 per cent users creating/ posting content on the genre this year. Conversation on romance is also high with over 14 per cent content coming from the genre and is trending at the second spot.

     

    The sense of nationalism has come out very strong with top moments being seized as Elections 2019, Pulwama Attack and tribute to martyrs and Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

     

    In 2019, ShareChat witnessed the growth in the number of first time internet users with millions of new users joining the platform this year. The growth is attributed to the availability of the social media platform in their regional languages, contributing to user generated content in native languages by over 21 million creators.

  • Mediacom wins ShareChat mandate

    ShareChat has appointed MediaCom to handle its media mandate. The mandate pre-dominantly includes media planning for the brand’s first commercial in Tamil language.

     

    Commenting on the partnership, Sunil Kamath, Chief Business Officer, ShareChat said: “Tamil Nadu is one of the fastest growing userbase for ShareChat. With the campaign ‘Tamizhan da! Un Nanben da! we want to celebrate ShareChat’s success in the market.     ShareChat has appointed Lowe Lintas to handle its creative duties. The mandate predominantly includes promoting app downloads and increasing the number of average daily users.

  • Times Internet gets on Coast

    Times Internet Limited (TIL) has announced a partnership with Opera Software to preload the group’s websites on Coast by Opera, the web browser for the iPad. TIL websites like Gaana.com, Timescity, Box TV, Speakingtree.in, Zoom and ET will be bookmarked as Speed Dial entries on Coast.

     

    Speaking on the development, Pratik Mazumder, Vice President and Head Marketing, Times Internet, said, “We are excited to enter this strategic partnership.
