  • Chicken Soup consumes Locomotive Global

    Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc, operators of streaming advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) networks, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Locomotive Global. This happened last week.

     

    Said William J. Rouhana Jr., Chairman and CEO for Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment: “Expanding into India has been a top priority for us in our international expansion strategy and we are excited to be entering the market with an ambitious company like Locomotive Global,” “This acquisition allows us to utilize Locomotive’s revenue, cash flow and presence in India as a base for further expansion in the region. We look forward to backing Locomotive’s expansion plans as we continue the rollout of our international strategy.”

  • The Q appoints Simran Hoon as CEO

    Hindi GEC Q has announced the appointment of Simran Hoon, a senior mediaperson and until last year with Viacom18, as Chief Executive Officer. In her new Hoon, Simran will leverage her experience and insight to provide strategic direction to create new opportunities for The Q in India thus driving the organization’s overall growth.

  • Q India announces reach to 100 mn TV homes

    Qyou Media has announced that its flagship Hindi entertainment channel, The Q India, has reached distribution to 100 million TV households as a result of launching on both DD Free Dish and Dish TV in April. The company issued a press release in connection with the new DD Free Dish (Channel 34) agreement. The new distribution relationship with DISH TV (Channel 128) has not been previously disclosed.

  • QYou Media appoints Krishna Menon as Chief Revenue Officer of Q India

    QYou Media Inc has  announced the appointment of Krishna Menon as Chief Revenue Officer of The Q India . Based in Mumbai, Menon will drive the advertising and sponsorship revenue.

     

    Prior to joining Q India, Menon served as Chief Marketing Officer at Sakal Media Group and General Manager at Network 18 Media. Menon will be responsible for increasing advertising sales and boosting digital, channel and mobile platform revenues by creating new opportunities for monetisation. He will also also oversee The Q’s expansion into influencer marketing initiatives.
