  • Mullen Lintas wins creative mandate of Zee Media

    Zee Media Corporation Limited has appointed Mullen Lintas as its creative agency. The win is an outcome of a multi-agency pitch involving industry heavyweights. The agency’s mandate is for Zee News along with other channels including Zee Business, Zee Hindustan, Zee 24 Ghanta, Zee 24 Taas, Zee 24 Kalak and Zee Digital.

    Commenting on the win, Vikas Mehta, CEO, Mullen Lintas, said: “With its tremendous reach and following, Zee Media is a powerhouse that informs India, in its several native languages.   • Zee Business strengthens programming, on marketing offensive

    Zee Business has taken on aggressive stance on programming and marketing. Said Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor, Zee Business: “The channel has relooked at the programming keeping consumer and credibility at the core of it. Our intent is to add value to our viewers by bringing the best business news analysis. We have also introduced segments like instant profit making tips looking at the market opening.” The channel is now based in Mumbai.

     

    On the overall stock market programming, Singhvi added: “It has been focused on small and new traders enabling them to trade or invest comfortably. We are shifting viewers habit from saving to investment and helping to fulfill their financial inclusion agenda.”

     

    Commenting on the new marketing campaign, Sujeet Mishra, Head – Marketing, ZMCL says “Zee Business will keep strengthening its relationship with viewers and partners by constantly reinventing programming and communication.   • Times Network gets Sujeet Mishra to head marketing at Times Now, Hina Jafri to head comms for network

    Times Network has got a new top deck in its marketing and communications functions. It has announced the appointment of Sujeet Mishra as Head of Marketing, Times Now. And brought in Hina Jafri to head communications for the network.

    In his role, Mishra will lead the brand’s strategic planning and communication including new brand initiatives, consumer research, market development across ATL, BTL and digital platforms. Based in Mumbai, Mishra will report to Vivek Srivastava, Executive Vice President, Times Network.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Vivek Srivastava, Executive Vice President, Times Network said: “I’m delighted to welcome Sujeet to the Times Now team. His vast knowledge and strong capabilities in brand building, marketing communication will add tremendous value to our ambitious growth strategy in the English news segment.”

     

    Speaking on his new role, Mishra said: “I’m extremely excited to lead the marketing mandate for a brand that stands for creditability and accuracy in reportage, a reflection of true journalism. I look forward to channelising my best efforts and strengths into creating impactful marketing campaigns and sustaining the leadership position of Times Now.”

     

    Although Jafri’s announcement has not been formally announced, communiques from the group clearly mention her name. Jafri has over a decade-and-a-half in communications in leading PR agencies and was last with Ketchum Sampark as Vice President.
