  • Zee South Cluster contributes to daily wage workers

    In the fight against the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Zee Entertainment has offered financial relief to the daily wage workers in the television industry.  As a part of this, the Zee South Cluster has cumulatively donated a large sum of Rs. 1.35 crore to support over 1000 daily wage workers across the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. The aid has been directly sent to their bank accounts, thus avoiding delays.

     

    Said Siju Prabhakaran, South Cluster Head, Zee Entertainment: “It is during such difficult times that the community must rise to the occasion and take responsibility. We believe that all of us have a basic duty to give back to the society, contributing in whatever way possible to join the efforts in coming of this grave crisis. This initiative of the network to support the daily wage workers in the television industry is a testament to our commitment in supporting the people who form such a crucial part of our industry and hopefully enable them to cope with the new normal that Covid-19 has left us in”,

     

     

  • Zee Picchar to offer viewers a ‘Hit Dinada Feeling’

    Zee Picchar, the newest Kannada movie channel is reaching out to Kannada cinema lovers with a ‘Hit Dinada Feeling’.

     

    The brand proposition ‘Hit Dinada Feeling’ that translates into having a ‘hit day feeling’ will be showcased through the channel’s offering and communication. Zee Picchar released the first in a series of brand films, conceptualised by DDB Mudra, that showcase how cinema lovers have a unique take on life.

  • Zee Keralam to launch in Nov

    Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has announced its entry into Kerala with the launch of its fifth channel in the southern region, Zee Keralam. The channel was unveiled by the ZEEL leadership team comprising Punit Misra, CEO, ZEEL, Siju Prabhakaran, South Cluster Head, ZEEL and Deepti Sivan Pillay, Business Head, Zee Keralam in Kochi, in the presence of artists from the Zee Keralam family. Zee Keralam will go on air in November 2018.

     

    Commenting on the launch, Siju Prabhakaran, South Cluster Head, ZEEL said: “The South Cluster has been growing exponentially for Zee as a network in the last few years and with the launch of Zee Keralam, we are certain that the region will continue to perform at a high growth rate. We set foot in the South with our first GEC – Zee Telugu in 2005, followed by Zee Kannada, Zee Tamil and Zee Cinemalu.”

  • Zee Tamil refershes brand proposition & identity

    Zee Tamil has unveiled a new brand identity and also launched its HD channel. The launch took place at the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors event with stars from Zee Tamil in a grand ceremony celebrating the channels new look and brand proposition.

     

    Commenting on the new brand identity, Siju Prabhakaran, Cluster Head – South Business, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited said: “With a refreshed brand purpose, we, at Zee Tamil, strive to erase the lines between the younger and older generations, especially women, urging them to unite and embrace progress & change in all forms.   • Siju Prabhakaran to head the Zee Tamil Business

    Siju Prabhakaran , Business Head of Zee Kannada, will now take over as the Business Head – Zee Tamil. He replaces N S Easwaran who has decided to pursue his career outside ZEE. Siju has shown credible leadership in managing the Zee Kannada Business. He has been with ZEE for over 15 years now and has experience in sales as well. Siju will report to Mr Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, ZEEL, for the above role.

     

    Elaborating on his new role, Siju Prabhakaran said, “Tamil Nadu is a market with huge potential. This is one market where television viewing is a habit that is quite difficult to break. I’m looking forward to bringing the necessary changes to this habit that will benefit Zee Tamil and help us grow in leaps and bounds.”
