  • Shemaroo collaborates with British Film Institute

  • Shemaroo brings back Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’

    Amidst all the controversy about the depiction of the revered Ramayan, Shemaroo TV has announced the airing of Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’ starting from the July 3, 2023. This will Monday to Sunday at 7.30 pm.

  • Tata Sky explores new genre with ‘Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan’

    Tata Sky has launched its new offering– Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan. It has partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., to curate content for this offering. The series will feature a wide range of TV shows, web series and movies. Additionally, the service will also showcase first-ever-adapted stories from the popular Hindi magazine, ‘Manohar Kahaniyan’.

     

    Sharing her thoughts on the launch of the service, Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Tata Sky said: “Genres like crime, thriller and horror has witnessed great traction over the past few years. While there are multiple options for these genres available on linear television and OTT platforms, currently there isn’t a single destination catering to all the three content genres. Realising this need-gap we decided to bring to our subscribers – Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan – a curation of the best Hindi content library of TV shows, web series and movies in crime, thriller and horror genre. With this launch, we shall continue to focus on catering to the diverse entertainment needs of our subscribers.”

  • Shemaroo Entertainment partners Hathway on cable deal

    Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd has joined hands with Hathway to change the dynamics of TV viewing in India. For the first time, audiencescan enjoy premium paid ad-free services on cable TV. A platter of popular services namely Miniplex, Comedy walas, Om Shakti, Ibaadat, Lamhe Movies and Yippee are now available on cable TV as well.

     

    As part of the launch, the said services are offered free to the consumers for the first month, ushering them withan experience of next generation TV viewing. Post this period, these services will be available at different price points.

  • Zubin Dubash joins Shemaroo as COO

    Shemaroo Entertainment appointed ZubinDubash as COO – New Media Business. He will be responsible for driving the New Media business and scaling it up.

     

    Dubash is a senior leader with 20+ years of success in managing businesses in mobile applications, telecom, and digital domains. Before joining Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, he was working in the core team of Apps Daily Solutions, as Chief Product & Strategy Officer and played an active role in product creation/innovation, strategy and Strategic partnerships. Prior to this he was at Tata Docomoas Vice President/Group Head- New Businesses. He has also worked with companies like Vodafone etc earlier.
