    Savlon Swasth India Mission unveiled former cricketing star Sachin Tendulkar as its ‘Hand Ambassador’.

     

    Conceptualized by Ogilvy India, the campaign features a series of films that take an unexpected route by featuring Sachin Tendulkar’s Hand as their chief protagonist – bringing the importance of hand hygiene to everyone’s notice and reminding people in his inimitable style, to remember to wash their hands.

This needs continuous emphasis and engagement to build a healthy habit for children in particular and society at large.   • Savlon Swasth India Mission presents the ‘Chain of Protection’

     

     

    On occasion of World Hand Hygiene Day, Savlon Swasth India Mission reiterates the critical role of hand hygiene in infection prevention with its ‘Chain of Protection’ initiative.

     

    In a fun and interactive social outreach, the initiative urges everyone to adhere to a hand hygiene routine to help build a chain of protection. Savlon Swasth India Mission’s ‘Chain of Protection’ is a community-driven inclusive approach towards encouraging good hand hygiene practices and help break the chain of infection.

     

    Fritz Gonsalves, Group Creative Director and Jayesh Raut, Senior Creative Director at Ogilvy India, said, “Savlon Swasth India has always been about inculcating good hand hygiene habits. Right now, the most important thing to do is to make sure everyone around us including ourselves maintain good hand hygiene. As it is for the collective good of everyone.   • Savlon Swasth India Mission marks Global Handwashing Day

    Savlon, through its initiative Savlon Swasth India Mission, celebrated Global Handwashing Day, with a call for good hand hygiene habits. The brand introduced a video titled #TheHiddenMonsters that illustrates everyday actions which exposes young children to germs.

     

    Unveiled in 2016, ITC Savlon Swasth India Mission attempts to encourage behavioural change towards hygiene amongst children through various engaging and entertaining educational initiatives. The initiative has been able to reach more than three million students across 12,000 schools in India and continues to enable children as champions of change for health and hygiene.

     

    Said actor Boman Irani, who is associated with the cause: “Hand Hygiene is critical and the message needs to be inculcated as a habit amongst children not just today but every day. Really appreciate this simple initiative which communicates the message on hand hygiene in such a creative manner. It indeed is a fun video and is a candid capture of children and their reactions to the germs that follow.”

     

     

  • Savlon unveils ‘Savlon Swasth India Mission’

    Leading hygiene brand Savlon has unveiled Savlon Swasth India Mission, a programme designed to encourage behavioural change towards washing hands amongst children through various engaging and entertaining educational initiatives in schools.  In line with Savlon Swasth India’s proposition of ‘Healthier Kids, Stronger India’, the programme introduces interactive activities including a series of storytelling and visual engagement that educate and encourage children to adopt good hand hygiene practices.

     

    On the eve of Children’s Day, Savlon Swasth India Mission introduced an engagement with Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks – a set of unique chalk sticks infused with cleansers like soap. The chalk sticks are designed to engage children in primary schools and emphasise the importance of washing hands before eating.

     

    Sharing his thoughts, Sameer Satpathy, Chief Executive, Personal Care Products Business, ITC Limited, stated: “Hand hygiene is a critical issue. We believe, to induce behavioural change among children, the process of communication and education has to be fun, engaging and memorable. In that context, Savlon Swasth India’s ‘Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks’ is a simple yet interesting innovation. It is an engaging way to educate children on the importance of washing hands especially before eating. This is one of the various educational tools deployed by the Savlon Swasth India team to help initiate children into the habit of washing hands.”

     

    Commented Harshad Rajadhyaksha, ECD Ogilvy Mumbai, on the initiative:  “Before anything else, I would like to really thank the client who partnered us to make this happen.
