Somasree Bose
Said Somasree Bose, Category Head, VP Marketing, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.: “In an intensely contested pitch, Publicis Worldwide stood out with their strategy, creative approach and enthusiasm for the brand. Subhash Kamath
Added Subhash Kamath, CEO, Publicis Worldwide & BBH, India: “It was a very interesting challenge in an increasingly relevant and growing category: home hygiene. It needed a fine blend of strategy and creativity across platforms, in an integrated solution. We’re thrilled to be chosen as their partner by Godrej and our mandate is across mainline and digital thinking. We look forward to creating some insightful work going forward.”
Russell Barrett
Sharing his views on the win, Russell Barrett, CEO & CCO, Publicis Worldwide & BBH, India said: “When a product or a venture is born out of a real and specific consumer need, the job of any creative agency needs to be that much more relevant. We were genuinely excited to work on a brand like Godrej ProClean for exactly that reason. Sharp, compelling, engaging advertising that speaks across platforms and media to the audience is the need of the hour. We look forward to creating some category defining work along with our brilliant client partners at Godrej.”
Suraj Pombra
Highlighting the communication objective for the brand, Suraj Pombra, Executive Director, Publicis Worldwide India said: “This is a special win for us. Godrej ProClean is a brand born in and of the pandemic – and it feels special to be chosen to co-nurture it. As an integrated mandate, it allows us to bring the full might of our thinking into play across platforms, so it’s special for that reason as well. Publicis & Godrej have had successful partnerships before, so this is also special as a homecoming of sorts. As we welcome Godrej ProClean into our fold, we look forward to this being the start of a long term partnership built on growth and success.”
Publicis Groupe has announced the integration of Indigo Consulting’s digital marketing teams with Publicis Worldwide, thereby creating a strong 300-member agency capable of providing the entire suite of brand building communication services from strategy to creative across mainline, digital and social, with data at the centre. Rajesh Ghatge (CEO) and Jose Leon (COO) will continue to helm the organisation.
Anupriya Acharya
Said Anupriya Acharya, Group CEO, South Asia: “This made imminent sense to us. Communication services are no longer segregated by platforms, i.e., creative agencies for mainline platforms and digital agencies for digital platforms. More and more clients want to work with one agency that can offer holistic strategic & creative solutions to solve their marketing problems. In fact, the pandemic has only heightened the need to have digital at the centre of our solutions approach.”
Subhash Kamath
Added Subhash Kamath, CEO, BBH & Publicis Worldwide: “I see it as a win-win for everyone. The Indigo digital communications teams have already been working alongside the PWW teams across many of our top clients. By bringing them together under a common leadership, we can now provide our clients a more integrated solution and a more seamless brand custodianship. It’s a transformative move.”
Russell Barrett
Said Russell Barrett, CEO & Chief Creative Officer, BBH & Publicis Worldwide, “We need to be absolutely modern and future-facing when it comes to the creative work we produce and digital has to be at the heart of it. I don’t see traditional and digital work needing separate thinking. I want our creative leaders to be able to think across all platforms in answering a brand’s needs. By the coming together of these two teams, it’s a potent force of talent.”
Rajesh Ghatge
Added Ghatge: “The tremendous traction that we have got for our digital business transformation and technology practice in the last year has propelled our plan to invest disproportionately to scale this practice. We are making a choice to focus (back) on our DNA. The top ranked digital marketing practice that we had built over the last few years, hence forth being housed in PWW will continue to deliver impactful cross-platform digital marketing solutions for the composite client roster. It is a win– win for our transitioning team, PWW, and our clients.”

Said Russell Barrett, CCO & CEO, PWW-BBH India: “Taco Bell is one of the most exciting brands to work on in the world and has a rich history of making disruptive moves in the market and disruptive advertising too. It was quite a challenge to make this film happen with the current constraints, but a brilliant team led by Nivedita Agashe in creative and Chetan Mane in account management, along with the director Siva made it possible.”

This programme gives an opportunity to urban adults sitting at home to teach spoken English to a rural child who can access it anytime, anywhere through a simple, convenient phone based intervention. In addition, the partnership with AAS Vidyalaya helps make all other subjects available free on our app for 2 months. It covers 6th-10th grade curriculum designed as per CBSE, UP State Board and NOIS board. Added Russell Barrett, CCO & Managing Partner, BBH India: “Nihar Shanti Amla has been built on the promise of Look good, Do good. And for years now the brand has dedicated itself to doing good by educating India’s underprivileged children through various on- ground and digital initiatives. During these exceptional times, exceptional brands reinforce their worth by their actions and Nihar Shanti Amla has dedicated itself to ensuring there is no lockdown on learning. We’ve used technology to give children in the remote interiors of India the same privileges that our own children enjoy during this time through the Phone Uthao India Ko Padhao programme. We’re so proud to partner Marico in this initiative and to ensure the next generation of India doesn’t stop their onward march to a better future.”
This Independence Day, BookMyShow has partnered with the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Gold’. BookMyShow has also released a humorous film on the plethora of discount and promotion-led advertisements that usually release around Independence Day.
Said Marzdi Kalianiwala, SVP – Marketing and Business Intelligence at BookMyShow: “Consumers are usually flooded with offer advertisements during holidays and the festive season, and we thought to have a light-hearted take on the situation with our latest film. Even in the case of our past films, the objective was always to be highly relevant and get inspired directly from conversations that take place all around. We hope the audiences will love the subtle use of humour in this particular digital film.â€
Added Russell Barrett, Chief Creative Officer & Managing Partner, BBH: “Go to where the people are. It’s that simple. With our advertising for BookMyShow, we’ve been able to tap into conversations that people are interested in rather than force a completely new conversation on the audience. Gold is a brilliant film about India’s first gold medal as a free country at the Olympics. The movie releases close to Independence Day, when the airwaves and newspapers will be filled with “Freedom Sales†and brands exhorting us to “Stand†for something. We just felt it was a great opportunity to capitalise on and we hope the audience enjoys the ad enough to go book a ticket on Book My Show.â€
Behrouz Biryani has launched its first ad campaign in India. Crafted by BBH India, the film traces the gastronomical journey tracing the origins of biryani. This is the brand’s first integrated campaign extending across digital, print, outdoor and radio.
The film has been directed by popular ad film director, DoP & special FX expert Nick Sawyer best known for his work on international food brands.
Said Sagar Kochhar, Group CMO, FFSPL:”We are extremely delighted to launch our first ad campaign and this is an important milestone in our journey towards being the ‘Royal’ Biryani of the country. This film pivots around the brand story that we created since our inception, a 2000 year old recipe from the lost Persian kingdom of Behrouz, where wars were fought to win this recipe. Being a digital only premium brand with no physical/dine in presence, the campaign is targeted to create brand awareness highlighting its alluring Persian brand persona and a recipe worth indulging when you think of not just ordering a biryani, but actually experiencing finesse. ”
Added Russell Barrett, CCO & Managing Partner, BBH:“To begin with, working on Behrouz has been great. We’ve quite willingly done a lot of research on biryanis. A lot of research. The idea of an origin story for something as ubiquitous as biryani is a story waiting to be told. The film is beautifully crafted and besides taking you on a fantastic journey through time, it makes you want to order a biryani; an impulse which you should absolutely give in to when it comes to Behrouz.â€
The Diamond Producers Association (DPA), an international alliance of the world’s leading diamond mining companies, launched its second film as a part of their integrated marketing campaign ‘Real is Rare. Real is a Diamond’ in India. The film titled ‘Sneaking Out’ is conceptualised and created by BBH India, with the intention of celebrating the rare moments among couples with a diamond.
Extensive research conducted by The Diamond Producer’s Association in partnership with BBH highlighted, that couples believe there are moments of bonding (apart from anniversaries and birthdays) which actually form the foundation of their relationship. However, these moments, unique and rare to each couple, go unrecognized in the journey of a relationship. Inspired by these real stories, the campaign has recreated such moments of intimacy which couples can relate to and recognise as milestones.
Sharing her thoughts on the launch, Richa Singh, Managing Director – India, Diamond Producers Association, said: “In India, the ‘Real is Rare. Real is a Diamond.’ campaign shares a deep rooted thought of love built through rare instances in the minds of consumers. There are lot of defining moments that make this journey unique and precious and we wanted diamonds to symbolize the successful transformation of the partnership by making them equals. The second TVC brings to light another real life example of such a moment.â€

The new launch, driven by a 360-degree campaign, focuses on key markets of the Hindi-speaking belt. In addition to the TVC, it is being promoted through high impact outdoor and print campaign, an engaging digital campaign and cinema branding, amongst others.
Added Russell Barrett, CCO & Managing Director BBH India: “It’s always wonderful when you’re doing advertising for a product with a genuine, clear and palpable difference. Hair & Care Fruit Oils is a first of its kind hair oil for a younger audience and hence our advertising had to reflect that. What excited us was the innovation of the product, so, we wondered what if we could have people feel the energy and goodness of fruit rather than merely present a logical argument for it. And our partners at Marico said, why not!â€
