    By Our Staff

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited has announced the new identity of its toothpaste brand- Colgate Strong Teeth with its latest campaign. Featuring Shahid Kapoor and Rana Daggubati, the ‘Daant strong toh main strong’ TVC, created by RedFuse Communications, puts the spotlight on the importance of strong teeth.

Speaking on the new campaign, Arvind Chintamani, VP, Marketing, Colgate-Palmolive India, said: “As Indians, we understand the importance of chewing and have grown up with our parents asking us to chew our food 36 times before swallowing. However, what we often forget is that teeth are our first digestive organ and teeth need to be strong to get the best nutrition from food. We’re super excited to have Shahid and Rana partner with us to remind parents of this message and to focus on teeth strength with Colgate Strong Teeth, India’s #1 Toothpaste, every day!”

Added Delna Sethna, Executive Creative Director, Red Fuse: “Because digestion starts in the mouth, you need strong teeth. Sounds simple enough. Sounds like you’ve heard this enough. And yet making this point was anything but simple. This is a campaign that’s been designed to work hard to land the message, with dad (Shahid & Rana) as our spokesperson for once. Equal parenting is something a lot of brands speak of, we went the extra mile to land it.”

  • Red Fuse delivers ‘Visible White Selfie’ for Colgate

    By a correspondent

Red Fuse Communications, WPP’s full-service integrated global agency has designed and implemented an engaging digital campaign for Colgate Visible White. Through this campaign, very aptly titled ‘Visibly White Selfie’, it aims at communicating that white teeth can enhance one’s smile and hence one’s selfie.

    Shubha George

Shubha George, CEO, Red Fuse Communications, said “We realized that consumers spend a great deal of time on their looks but not on their teeth. Often a beautiful picture with a charming smile is marred by discolored teeth. We wanted to communicate that it is important to make sure that one’s teeth also look their best to complete the beauty regimen.”

To build awareness around health and beauty, the agency known for providing customized and innovative solutions, designed the Visible White Selfie campaign. Through this campaign the agency will engage with audiences on digital platforms to emphasize how Colgate Visible White enhances their Selfie, by making their teeth one shade whiter in just 1 week.

The campaign will pose the question Your selfie is incomplete without a picture perfect smile. Are you ready for your best Selfie?” In response to this question, users are encouraged to click selfies and upload their best pictures on Colgate India’s Facebook page or through the mobile app. The perfect selfie uploaded will be autographed by Sonam Kapoor.

Users can then enhance their smile and whiten their teeth with Colgate Visible White regimen.

The campaign will conclude on 30th June, 2014.

This isn’t a first for advertising and marketing services network WPP, but should help the servicing of a key client a great deal. Adland globally has been abuzz with the AdAge newsbreak that WPP has combined its various teams working with creative network Y&R, direct & marcom agency Wunderman, digital shopVML, media agency MEC and healthcare communications firm GHG to come under the umbrella of Red Fuse Communications.

According to the report in Advertising Age, WPP’s Global Managing Partner Stephen Forcione will be CEO, Red Fuse. Mr Focione has been heading the Colgate account thus far and will also be Digital Lead for WPP’s Top 30 clients. Although the Ad Age report quotes the Colgate CMO, the official press areas of both WPP and Colgate are silent on the development.
