  • Havas Media elevates Uday Mohan & R Venkatasubramanian as MDs

    Havas Media Group India has announced the elevation of two of its senior leaders. Uday Mohan, previously President and Chief Client Officer, has been promoted as Managing Director of Havas Media India, while R Venkatasubramanian has been elevated to the position of Managing Director of Havas Play in addition to his current role as President – Investments at Havas Media India. They will report to Mohit Joshi, CEO, Havas Media Group India.

  • Havas Group launches ‘Havas Play’ brand globally

    Havas Group unveils Havas Play, a new global network that will earn consumers’ attention and create enduring business impact through meaningful experiences at the intersection of entertainment, sports, technology, and fandom.

     

    In India, three entities, Havas Sports and Entertainment and Havas Content, both of which are part of Havas Media Group India, and Cake India, which is part of Havas Creative India, will combine and rebrand as Havas Play.

     

    R Venkatasubramanian, President and National Head of Investments, Havas Media Group India, has been given the additional responsibility to lead Havas Play in India. Havas Play will be part of the Havas Media Group India network, which is led by Mohit Joshi as its Chief Executive Officer. Under the new structure, Arun Kumar Rao, Senior VP, Prachi Narayan, Vice President and Rajika Mittra, Managing Partner, will report to Venkat and will manage Sports, Content and Entertainment mandates, respectively.

  • Havas Media appoints Balachandran V as EVP – Buying – North

    Havas Media Group India has appointed Balachandran V as Executive Vice President – Buying North. Based out of Gurugram, Balachandran will be responsible for media investments of all North India clients. He will be reporting to R Venkatasubramanian, President – Investments and Head – Havas Sports, Havas Media Group India.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Venkatasubramanian said: “Bala is a seasoned media professional, and this is his second innings with Havas, having previously worked for the agency (then Euro RSCG) in 1997 as the Media & Administration lead for the Chennai market and later on led the investment portfolio for the Reckitt Benckiser Business in Delhi. We are delighted to have him back, this time to lead HMG India’s North Investment operations, one of our largest business units. I am confident Bala will drive the team forward and further strengthen our investments function by hiring talented professionals with domain expertise. We wish Bala a happy homecoming!”

    Havas Media India has appointed R Venkatasubramanian as National Head of Investments. He joins Havas from Initiative Media where he was serving as Senior Vice President.

     

    In his new role, Venkatasubramanian will be based out of Gurugram and will be responsible for driving media investments, partnerships and strategic thinking for all Havas Media clients across markets.

  • Initiative announces two senior appointments

    Initiative India has announced the appointments of ‘R Venkatasubramanian and Vishnu Sharma as Senior Vice Presidents in the company.

     

    While Mr Venkatasubramanian or Venkat, as he is universally known, will oversee investments and sports, Mr Sharma will be in charge of strategy and insights for all clients of the agency in Delhi.

     

    Mr Venkatasubramanian is returning to Initiative, where he worked for almost a decade, after two shorts stints at Maxus and MPG. Mr Sharma is presently national head of Sales Strategy and Business Analytics at HT Media. He has experience of more than a decade working with national brands such as Airtel, Hero Honda, LG and others at Group M and Madison before.

     

    “These key appointments will help take Initiative to a superior level of delivering business and media solutions for clients. I look foward to welcoming Venkat and Vishnu as part of my leadership team for this agency,” said , newly appointed President of the agency.
