  • Qyou Media appoints Raj Mishra as Group CEO

    Qyou Media Inc., operating in India and the United States, has appointed digital leader and strategist, Raj Mishra, as Group CEO of Qyou Media’s India operations overseeing all business units, with immediate effect. Mishra will focus on increasing operational and financial synergies and strengths among the three primary business units as the company further pivots in India into digital distribution and direct to consumer initiatives.

  • Qyou Media announces distribution partnership with Coolita

    Qyou Media, the multi-platform entertainment network, has forged a global distribution partnership with Coolita, a global smart TV+OS brand, with free streaming of FAST channels of Q Play+.

     

    As a part of this alliance, Coolita users in India and across the globe, through their wide range of smart TV sets including Croma, Thomson, Panasonic, LLOYD, Itel, and others along with their operating software Coolita will be able to stream Qyou Media India’s five FAST channels – The Q, The Q Kahaniyan, Q GameX, Sadhguru TV, and BH Live for free.

  • Qyou Media & Bollywood Hungama to launch channel

    Qyou Media India, in an endeavour to further strengthen its presence in the Connected TV space, has partnered with Bollywood Hungama to launch a new Connected TV channel in Q4 of 2023 called BH Live TV Powered by Qyou Media.

  • Qyou Media launches mobile gaming app

    Qyou Media India has launched the Q GamesMela, its first direct-to-consumer casual mobile gaming app. It will offer a variety of casual mobile games and can be downloaded from the Google Play store for Android phone users.

  • Qyou Media to acquire majority in Maxamtech Digital Ventures

    Qyou Media India has announced that it has executed a binding term sheet to acquire a majority ownership stake in Maxamtech Digital Ventures, a six-year-old India-based venture creating technology and games for the mobile gaming industry. Maxamtech currently operates, via its proprietary platform Gaming 360, a variety of gaming destinations for companies including Vodafone and Glance.

     

    Commenting on the acquisition, Xerxes Mullen, Founder, Maxamtech Digital Ventures, said: “We have been looking for the right partner to take our business to the next level. Gaming continues to be one of the biggest opportunities in the Indian media and entertainment segment and we feel completely aligned with the Qyou Media and Qyou Media India management team on how we can really grow our operation in a smart and profitable way.   • Chtrbox launches ChtrSocial

    QYOU Media Inc. has announced that its subsidiary Chtrbox, influencer marketing platform and agency connecting brands and social media influencers, is launching ChtrSocial.     According to an analysis by KPMG, India is set to become one of the world’s leading markets in the gaming industry where it is expected to cross 450 million online gamers in 2023, second only to China. Growing steadily over the last five years, it is expected to treble in value and reach an overall value of $5 billion by 2025 driven by a rapidly growing younger population with higher disposable income. With the total number of online gamers growing from 360 million in 2020 to 390 million in 2021, analysts expect steep growth in the sector.

  • Q India elevates Krishna Menon to COO

It has has now appointed Krishna Menon as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, moving from his position as Chief Revenue Officer. Menon has served the company since November of 2018 and has seen Q rise to its current visible state.

     

    Said Curt Marvis, CEO and Co-Founder of QYOU Media: “Krishna has been a true leader and for more than two years has worked to grow our business, raising it to new levels of viewership, revenue growth and brand recognition.   • Q India announces reach to 100 mn TV homes

    Qyou Media has announced that its flagship Hindi entertainment channel, The Q India, has reached distribution to 100 million TV households as a result of launching on both DD Free Dish and Dish TV in April. The company issued a press release in connection with the new DD Free Dish (Channel 34) agreement. The new distribution relationship with DISH TV (Channel 128) has not been previously disclosed.
