  • Quaker Oats launches new film with Chef Vikas Khanna

    By A Correspondent

Quaker has unveiled a new film under its ‘Fuel for the Real Fit’ campaign. The film applauds the varied roles in the life of women and showcases how the product provides them with the right fuel to keep them going.

Speaking about the campaign, Dilen Gandhi, Senior Director Marketing, Foods Category, PepsiCo India said: “We often come across individuals, who inspire us to go beyond the ordinary by challenging themselves at every step. It’s their determination and resilience that keeps us going through our journey of donning multiple hats sometimes as a doting mother, a multitasker and more. Our new film is an ode to the spirit of such ordinary individuals, who strive to succeed in their ordinary lives – making their lives more meaningful and inspiring the larger audience out there. We are confident that the consumers will connect and relate to the campaign that holds a message for all.”

Throwing light on the creative aspect of the campaign, Varun Channa, Senior VP and Managing partner, Wunderman Thompson added: “We extended the campaign with a new story, but this time we looked at things with a new perspective and a wider lens, and what came out was the story of a woman – a role like no other, or perhaps a thousand brought together as one. The odd working hours, the balancing of work and family, juggling every role in between and still managing to get up and do it again the next day personifies not only the Real Fit, but also gives a fresh perspective to how we imagine Real Fitness to be. The film is fast-paced, gritty and fearless, and culminates beautifully with a warm touch, which has always been the philosophy of Real Fitness.”

  • Quaker film highlights plight of underprivileged

    By A Correpondent

As part of the Quaker Feed a Child initiative that aims to create awareness for the issue of hunger amongst children, Quaker India has released a digital film ‘The Last Meal’. Produced in association with Culture Machine, the video takes an authentic social experiment route to bring forth the dichotomy of the world we live in, where the privileged masses take access to food for granted, versus the underprivileged who struggle for each meal.

Speaking about the initiative, Nobel Dhingra, Brand head – Quaker, PepsiCo India, said: “It is disturbing that less than one-third of children in India receive adequate nutrition. Quaker Feed a Child is a social initiative based on a powerful thought that urges us all to make every festival or occasion more meaningful by simply pledging a fistful of nutrition to feed a child. With the new year approaching, we hope that people will choose to share their festive cheer by taking a pledge to feed a child.”

Added Sharique Khan, Vice President- Brand Solutions, Culture Machine: “One of the most unfortunate facts today is that most children in our country do not have access to timely meals to satiate their hunger; which is the most basic necessity to any life form. It is our duty and responsibility, as humans and own beings , to create an awareness and also to do whatever we can in our small way to end this, one child at a time. Culture Machine in association with Quaker, urges its viewers to take a pledge and do their bit for this humane cause.”

  • Quaker urges professionals to stay fit in latest campaign

    By A Correspondent

Quaker’s new ‘Fuel for the Real Fit’ campaign celebrates young Indians doing regular jobs like a teacher or a doctor, who effortlessly multi-task each day, and establishes Quaker as the fuel that empowers them to find the energy to keep doing more.

Speaking about the new campaign, Deepika Warrier, ‎Vice President – Nutrition Category, PepsiCo India said, “The new Quaker ‘Fuel for the Real Fit’ campaign celebrates the spirit of ‘real fit’ ordinary individuals who lead extraordinary lives. They have the passion and determination to go above and beyond each day, and Quaker is the perfect morning fuel to provide them the energy to do more each day. We feel the campaign is powerful in its simplicity, and will connect with all consumers who manage to do so much each day, and yet seek to do more.”

Added Neeraj Ghaywan of SeeOn Films: “For the Quaker Fuel for the Real Fit films, we chose to tell the stories of an ER doctor and a play-school teacher, someone everybody can relate with. Apart from showing sincerity and passion towards their work, they show dogged commitment. And in these films, we set our everyday heroes in their natural environment, as they are. For me, it is about acknowledging the dignity that we all seek. It is truly fulfilling to go an extra mile at work when you feel happy about it. Real fitness helps us in going at it.”

Speaking about the films, Josy Paul, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer, BBDO said: “We are building on the growing emotional equity of Quaker Oats in India with a new campaign called ‘Fuel for the real fit’. ‘Real fit’ is not about superficial fitness or fancy six pack abs. ‘Real fit’ is about the boundless purposeful energy and the inner resilience of everyday people, not just sportspersons. It’s about today’s tireless youth who drum up the strength and determination to outperform themselves. In our films – part of a series – we salute the spirit of teachers and doctors who go through intense physical strain and mental stress – more than most sportspeople – so that they can do more for society.  The films convey the ‘real fit’ philosophy and showcase Quaker Oats as the fuel that keeps them going.”
