  • Day 2 @ Goafest: First Half Wrap-Up

    Day 2 of Goafest 2024 began began with a session hosted by the India chapter of IAA in collaboration with UNICEF. The theme was titled Gender-Sensitive Marketing: Navigating The New Consumer Landscape. Among the panellists were Chandni Shah, Chief Operating Officer of FCB Kinnect, Darshana Shah, Head of Marketing & Customer Experience at Aditya Birla Capital, Kailashnath Adhikari, Business Head of Sri Adhikari Brothers & Managing Director of GovernanceNow, Rajdeepak Das, Chief Creative Officer of Publicis Groupe South Asia & Chairman of Leo Burnett South Asia; and Ram Madhvani, Filmmaker, Producer, and Founder of Equinox Films and Ram Madhvani Films. Moderating the discussion was Kranti Gada, Founder of NeOwn.in.

    Post that, in a keynote address, Pulkit Trivedi, Managing Director of Snap Inc. India, revealed how Snapchat emerged as the preferred platform for young India. This was following by a session titled titled Media Agencies Panel – The Changing Expectations from a Media Client Leader, and the Challenges in Getting There, comprising prominent industry leaders. The panellists included Ajay Gupte, CEO, Wavemaker South Asia, Anita Kotwani, CEO – Media (South Asia) at Dentsu, Tanmay Mohanty, CEO of Publicis Media Services India and Vaishali Verma, CEO of Initiative India. Steering the discussion was Vikram Sakuja, Partner & Group CEO of Media & Out-of-Home at Madison Communications.

    The third knowledge seminar was titled, Trust or Bust: Thriving in the Digital World, with ASCI as partner. The panel of experts included were Amit Doshi, Chief Marketing Officer at Britannia, Falguni Vasavada, Professor at MICA and Digital Creator, Paras Sharma, Director of Global Partnerships at Meta and Sharan Hegde, Finance Content Creator and Co-founder and CEO of 1% Club. Manisha Kapoor, CEO & Secretary General of ASCI, moderated the session. We thought the session could be a tad longer.

    What followed was a fireside chat featuring Ankit Kapoor, Head of Marketing & International Business at Parle Agro, Mahesh Shetty, National Sales Head at Viacom18 and Navin Khemka, CEO – South Asia of Essence Mediacom. Conducting the conversation was anchor and marathoner Shibani Gharat.

    Day 2 also saw a series øf masterclasses. By WhatsApp on Agency Exclusive: Drive growth across the customer journey with WhatsApp, presented by Riddhika Sand. Then Ujaya Shakya, Founder and CEO of Outreach Nepal on Unlocking Market Potential: Open your eyes to Nepal. There was also the the D&AD masterclass presented by Lisa Evans and Paul Drake titled Unlocking Award Winning Ideas. Amazon miniTV also held a masterclass on Brand Integration with Vijay Iyer, Director, Amazon Ads India and Amogh Dusad, Head of Content, Amazon miniTV conducting the session. There was also a masterclass on Hall of Flame – The Olympics Masterclass presented by Chandan Roy.

  • Parle Agro launches outdoor media blitz for Frooti

    Parle Agro has launched an outdoor media blitz for Frooti mango drink for the festive months. Parle Agro created content for Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) to break through the clutter and aptly timed it to coincide with the ongoing festive fervour.

     

    Speaking about their OOH campaign, Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director & CMO, Parle Agro said: “This year, our creative approach revolutionizes storytelling.   • Pentragram revamps Appy Fizz for Parle Agro

    Parle Agro has revamped the identity for Appy Fizz.

     

    Nadia Chauhan, the Joint Managing Director &  CMO of Parle Agro, has emphasised Appy Fizz as a “statement-making beverage that has consistently maintained a distinct and outstanding identity.”

     

    The new packaging has been designed and conceptualised by Pentagram. Speaking on the new design. Said Harry Pearce, Partner, Pentagram Design Ltd: “The essential idea for the Appy Fizz design was to modernise and to create a more visually arresting identity and bottle shape moving the brand away from the huge number of copycats. We re-addressed the emphasis giving the word ‘Appy’ equal prominence to ‘Fizz’ and employed a distinctive font with custom elements. The design retains the brand equity invested in black, white and red with a nod to the apple in the red dot.”

     

    Kriti Sanon and Jr. NTR, the charismatic actors who are Appy Fizz’s brand ambassadors, are seen in the new campaigns with fresh packaging of the brand.

     

     

  • Parle Agro to endorse Kriti Sanon

    Parle Agro has signed on leading actor Kriti Sanon as brand ambassador for beverage brand, Appy Fizz. She joins Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Jr. NTR and will be the face of the brand alongside them.

     

    Speaking about the brand ambassador, Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director & CMO, Parle Agro said: “It is exciting to have Kriti Sanon join the Appy Fizz family.   • Platinum rolls out Frooti blitz

    Platinum Outdoor has rolled out an aggressive out-of-home campaign for Parle Agro beverage brand, Frooti.

     

    The campaign covers 140 cities across India including eight metro and 132 other cities. The campaign also includes Asia’s biggest billboard at on the Ali Yavar Jung Marg (Western Express Highway) in Mumbai.

  • Parle Agro launches new Smoodh Coffee Frappé with TVC

    Parle Agro has launched a brand new coffee-flavoured drink, Smoodh Coffee Frappé. The new variant was introduced to customers through a campaign with national brand ambassador, Varun Dhawan.

     

    Commenting on the launch of the new flavour, Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director and CMO, Parle Agro said, “With Smoodh, we’ve disrupted the flavoured milk category in India with record-breaking sales. In a span of just six months and with just two variants, Smoodh is today, leading the growth of the flavoured milk category in the country.   • &Walsh partners with Parle Agro to launch B Fizz

    Parle Agro has launched a new campaign for its malt flavoured fruit drink, B Fizz. The new face for the brand is actor Arjun Kapoor.

     

    &Walsh, the creative agency for B Fizz, has led the campaign narrative for the television commercials, print and digital. The films have been produced by Ransom Films, and directed by John Poliquin.

     

    Said Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director and CMO, Parle Agro: “In the past one year, B Fizz has grown exponentially, multiplying our sales and expanding not just the sparkling fruit drink category, but growing the malt flavoured fruit drink category multifold which was almost non-existent in India.     Parle Agro has launched a high-decibel campaign for its new dairy offering Smoodh.  The brand has roped in Varun Dhawan as brand ambassador. The media campaign has been rolled out nationally across multiple channels including TV, OOH and Digital.

     

    &Walsh, the creative agency for Smoodh has led the campaign narrative for the television commercials, print and digital. The film has been produced by Bindery, New York, USA along with Ransom Films and directed by Ezra Hurwitz.

  • MediaCom bags Parle Agro mandate

    Following a competitive multi-agency pitch that lasted for well over three months, beverage major Parle Agro has awarded its media mandate to MediaCom India. The account has been serviced by OMD.

     

    As the full form AOR for Parle Agro in India, MediaCom will be responsible for the media strategy, planning, buying and implementation for all media including its key brands – Frooti, Appy & Appy Fizz in India. The mandate is for the Indian subcontinent with a total media value of Rs 200 crores.
