  • Candy Crush is favourite kiddie game: Nickelodeon Awards

    The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022 are set to take place on June 28 (that’s tomorrow). As per a release, the awards received 1.7 million votes.

     

    The film Pathaan emerged as the Favourite Movie, and Shah Rukh Khan earns the title of Favourite Movie Actor for his role. Kiara Advani bags the title of Favourite Movie Actor (Female), while Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit are declared as Favourite Dancing Star (Male) and (Female), respectively. The Favorite Sportsperson title is won by PV Sindhu, along with a host of special awards being presented to Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aryan, and Bhumi Pednekar.

     

    Popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah maintains its winning streak by securing the title of Favourite TV Show for the eighth consecutive time, with actor Dilip Joshi once again taking home the award for Favourite TV Actor (Male).

     

    Momos take the crown as the ultimate favourite food among the generation, while Candy Crush Saga claims the title of the Favuorite Mobile Game. Nickelodeon’s Motu Patlu is the Favourite Show on Kids Channel, with Motu himself being the Favourite Indian Cartoon Character.

    The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022 will be hosted by Varun Buddhadev and have a digital simulcast on June 28, 2023 on various network platforms, including Nickindia.com and Sonicgang.com, as well as the social media platforms of Nickelodeon India, Sonic Gang, MTV India and Colors. JioTV will also air it.

     

  • Nickelodeon to air new IP on Sonic & Colors Rishtey

    Nickelodeon is all set to bring its recently announced 13th homegrown IP – ‘Kanha – Morpankh Samraat’ on Sonic. Nickelodeon will extend the show beyond its channel, and make way to the Viacom18’s Hindi general entertainment channel Colors Rishtey, thereby strengthening the kids’ franchise’s presence across different age groups and widening its impact.

  • Nickelodeon launches 2 new homegrown IPs

    The Nickelodeon kids’ network from Viacom18 has announceed the launch of two new IPs, ‘Abhimanyu Ki Alien Family’ and ‘Kanha – Morpankh Samrat’ starting April 24. ‘Abhimanyu Ki Alien Family’, the only alien show in the kids’ category, is a sci-fi comedy series.

  • Nickelodeon announces Kids’ Choice Awards 2022

    Kids’ entertainment leaders Nickelodeon has announced the 2022 edition of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022. Although the dates are not revealed so far, some new categories have been added, in keeping with current consumption patterns of kids.

  • Nickelodeon rolls out new anthem and campaign

    Nickelodeon rolls out brand-new anthem and campaign ‘#DoTheNickNick’ to usher in 2023. The campaign features India’s favourite Nicktoons, celebrates kids, and encourages them to look forward to 2023 with a positive and exciting outlook. The anthem is written by Gulzar and sung by Armaan Malik.

  • It’s 10 years for Motu Patlu

    Leading kids’ entertainment channel has informed that its popular toon icon Motu Patlu has completed 10 years of existence.

     

    Notes a communique: “From being born as characters in kids’ magazine Lotpot, to coming to life on television to being the first ever Indian animated character duo – brought to life by Cosmos Maya – to have their statues at Madame Tussauds, Delhi, Motu Patlu’s meteoric journey has been unmatched

  • Smurfs now on Sonic

    Popular show Smurfs will now be part of Sonic, part of India’s leading kids’ entertainment franchise Nickelodeon, starting today, June 13.

     

    Created by Belgian comic book writer Pierre Culliford, also known as Peyo, in 1958, The Smurfs reside in a community of small, blue, human-like characters who live in mushroom-shaped houses in a forest. The show will feature popular Smurf characters, including Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy, and others, embarking on new adventures full of humour, heart, and high-stake action.

    Nickelodeon channel has rolled out another edition of ‘Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards’. It allows kids to vote and choose their favourites across multiple categories. In addition to the existing categories such as Favourite Youtuber, Favourite Dancer, Favourite Mobile Game, etc. Nickelodeon’s KCA 2021 will witness the introduction of newer relevant categories such as Favourite Environmentalists, Favourite Sibling Jodi and Favourite Fashion Icon.

  • Colors Tamil partners with Nick to launch kiddie segment

    Colors Tamil has announced the launch of ‘Nick Neram’, a kids’ special segment, partnering Nickelodeon (which is run in India by Viacom18, the owners of the Colors network of channels). As a part of this special initiative, Colors Tamil will air Golmaal Jr and Rudra: Boom Chik Chik Boom, two brand new animated series.

     

    Commenting on the new shows, Rajaraman S, Business Head, Colors Tamil, said: “After the success of our current shows, we are elated to introduce two animated series to our lineup. While all our fiction and non-fiction shows have been popular among the Tamil viewers, we are now confident that Nick Neram will help us gain prominence among children as well.   • Viacom18’s Sonic is 10

    Viacom18’s Sonic is celebrating 10 years of entertaining kids. It was launched on December 19, 2011 as part of the Nickelodeon franchise.
