IndiaCast, multi-platform Content Asset Monetization entity, has appointed Piyush Goyal as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In his new role, Goyal will closely work with the operating heads of TV News, Entertainment and Sports businesses of the Network18 Group. He will report into Network18’s Managing Director Rahul Joshi.
Jointly owned by TV18 & Viacom18, IndiaCast brings Indian content to viewers across the globe. The company’s mandate includes Domestic Distribution, Placement Services, International Channel Distribution & Advertising Sales, New Media (digital) Distribution and Content Syndication for all the group company (TV18, Viacom18, A+E Networks|TV18) channels and content.

Network18 Group will launch ‘Netra Suraksha’ – India Against Diabetes campaign. The initiative aims to increase awareness about the risks of eye disorders due to diabetes and educate patients with diabetes to get their eyes checked regularly to minimize the risk of preventable blindness.

After stints with BTVI and the Times Network, Shilpa Shetty has returned to the Network18 Group as National Revenue Head – Display – Business News Cluster. She will report to Avinash Kaul – COO, Network18.

Shetty is a former Navy Queen and a Ford Super Model Finalist and has led Mumbai University in Handball at the National Level.
The Network18 Group has renamed its Marathi news channel as News18 Lokmat. The channel will unveil a new brand identity and logo along with a refreshed on-air look. The channel’s digital presence will also be revamped with the launch of a newly designed website news18lokmat.com.

The new logo will be unveiled by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the channel’s flagship event called ‘Agenda Maharashtra 2017’.
As part of Network18 strategy to strengthen its leadership and businesses, Network18 has appointed Sanjeev Agrawal as CEO – Homeshop 18, effective 4th May’ 2015. He will be based in Noida.
Sanjeev comes with over 26 years of experience across FMCG, fashion & retail sector. He is an alumnus of the Institute of Technology, BHU (1982-86) and Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (1987-89). He has held senior leadership positions at Future Value retail and Pantaloon Retail besides his FMCG stints at Balsara, Revlon, P&G, Godrej and HLL. In his last assignment Sanjeev was Managing Director at Skechers South Asia Private Limited.

Network18 Group has elevated Kshipra Jatana, EVP & Head Legal, News Networks to Group General Counsel. In her new role, Ms Jatana will oversee legal operations and regulatory matters for all group businesses and joint ventures including A+E Networks | TV18, Viacom18, HomeShop18 and India cast.
Earlier, Ms Jatana was the General Counsel at Capital18, the group’s investment arm where she was responsible for deal structuring, legal and compliance for its portfolio investments.

Grey has won the creative mandate for the entire Network18 Group; a media and entertainment company with interests in television, internet, films, e-commerce, magazines, mobile content and allied businesses.
The agency’s Mumbai branch will handle this account. The win is the result of a multi-agency pitch that saw the participation of several prominent agencies.
The campaign will be primarily television-based and is expected to go on air in August.
