    By Our Staff

McDowell’s No. 1 has launched a new campaign for IPL season. The campaign, conceptualised by DDB Mudra, features IPL players such as Virat Kohli from Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yuzvendra Chahal from Rajasthan Royals, Kieron Pollard from Mumbai Indians and many more, to bring alive the stadium action on the screen.

Speaking about this association, Ruchira Jaitly, Executive Vice President and Portfolio Head, Marketing, Diageo India, said: “Cricket is a sporting extravaganza that brings the entire country together with inspiring sporting action that’s a feast for Indians across the length and breadth of the country. So naturally, we are delighted to be associated with these six iconic teams. Moreover, this cricket season is the perfect platform to bring alive the special moments when yaars connect and make magic happen, whether while playing or while watching this tournament. To further add to the fun and entertainment, we are excited to give fans a chance to cheer for their teams with inspiring and playful language like never before. McDowell’s No.1 Soda is proud to share the spirit of Yaari with these amazing teams and build a meaningful new partnership.”

Added Neeraj Kanitkar, Executive Creative Director – West, DDB Mudra: “No.1 Yaari, six of the biggest IPL teams and 18 superstars deserve a grand platform. #No1YaariCheers is just that. A new language of Yaari that fuses what yaars do – from showing support to inspiring to teasing to provoking to badgering and everything in between – support, inspire, tease, provoke, badger – with the language of cricket. With the cricketers not having to so much act but simply express their Yaari for each other, they brought their own style to the cheering/ chanting. Making for entertaining shoots and an exuberant bunch of films.”

  • Taproot Dentsu & Facebook reignite love for books

    By Our Staff

Taproot Dentsu India has launched a second film as part of the agency’s ongoing ‘More Together’ campaign for Facebook. The film illustrates the platform’s power of connections and communities through yet another story.

Said Neeraj Kanitkar, Senior Creative Director, Taproot Dentsu: “This film is a sweet and simple demonstration of Facebook’s inherent power. Which is to supercharge the efforts of one person when the community gets behind it. It is quite rare to be in the advertising business without having some love for the written word. So when Gauri Burma – the most passionate book lover amongst us – came up with the idea, we knew we simply had to make it happen. We hope that it inspires people to consider using Facebook to give a new lease of life to old, forgotten and about-to-be-turned-into-pulp books.”

  • Taproot Dentsu launches new campaign for CricketNext

    By A Correspondent

Taproot Dentsu has rolled out a campaign for Network 18’s CricketNext. The app is designed such that it is a forum for fans to voice their opinion and post video comments, along with other standard features such as live score updates. In keeping with this theme, the films celebrate these opinionated fans.

Speaking about the campaign, Rahul Kansal, Group Brand Advisor, Network18 said: “Cricket Next is a next level app for the next level fan. Beyond just giving live scores and basic commentary, it invites passionate cricket fans to offer their opinions and share their insights on the game. The film tries to dramatise this promise… that it’s an app where fans rule.

Added Neeraj Kanitkar, Creative Director, Taproot Dentsu: “The all-new CricketNext app is a homage to the ultimate cricket fan who is always ready with an opinion but has nowhere to voice it. This app is a platform where this fan’s every opinion on team selection, on-field strategies etc. is not only heard but welcomed. The TVCs are a dramatic representation of this, with Anil Kumble literally breaking the fourth wall and acknowledging the ultimate fan’s opinion.”

  • Myntra highlights returns and refunds policy in campaign

    By A Correspondent

Myntra has kicked off an integrated marketing campaign to underscore its service offerings, targeted essentially at uninitiated shoppers across the country with a special focus on non-metro cities and small towns.

Commenting on the campaign, Gunjan Soni, CMO, Myntra & Head- Jabong, said: “Non-metro cities are very important markets for Myntra as we see our next phase of growth coming from there.  Our research shows that over 30 million SEC A internet users in non-metros do not shop online and as a market leader we have launched this campaign to drive adoption among them.  We see about 25% of our daily acquisitions coming from this cohort and with this campaign we are looking at acquiring half a million new customers from this target group over the next three weeks.”

Added Neeraj Kanitkar, Creative Director, Taproot Dentsu: “Myntra is undisputedly one of India’s most fashionable shopping outposts. Some shoppers though, especially from non-Metro cities, worry about the practicalities of the service features. Will my return be accepted? Will my return have to meet any requirements? When will I get a refund? And as a result simply stay away from shopping for fashion online. This campaign addresses these questions in a thoughtful, warm yet joyful manner. Which will hopefully get them to try Myntra, because once people try Myntra, they really do love it.”
