  • Madison Media appointed by MP Birla Cement

    Madison Media has been appointed by Birla Corporation Limited as its media AOR for MP Birla Cement. The agency will handle ATL responsibilities for the brand. The account was won in a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by Platinum Media, a unit of Madison World, based out of Kolkata.

     

    On the partnership with Madison Media, Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar, Vice President, Marketing of MP Birla Cement said: “We have travelled a distance in the last few years with launching and establishing brand MP Birla Cement. However this is a continuous process with a new set of challenges every year. We welcome Madison to partner us in our next leg of growth.”

    MP Birla Cement has launched its latest ad campaign on the occasion of Holi.

     

    Said Sandip Ranjan Ghose, Chief Operating Officer at Birla Corporation: “A beautiful poem, a well written book or a nicely made film are ways in which we can relish and cherish what festivals like Holi mean in our lives. We felt if we could create some such moments in the film that would resonate with the public and stay with them as fond memories, we would have done well.   • MP Birla Cement sheds focus on legacy to promote sub-brand Samrat

    MP Birla Cement is attempting to leverage the trust customers have for the brand. Conceptualised by Ogilvy Mumbai, a film captures the journey of a family’s rise to success because of the secret ingredient of the brand being a trusted partner for decades.

     

    Said Sandip Ghose, Chief Operating Officer, MP Birla Cement: “This maiden audio-visual commercial for MP Birla Cement Samrat – made primarily for its core market in the Hindi heartland – leverages on the ‘heritage’ and ‘trust’ elements, using a strong local idiom and a heart-warming story that the target audience will easily relate to.”

     

    Added VR Rajesh, Office Leader, Ogilvy India (West): “MP Birla Cement Samrat is the market leader in heartland India and MP Birla Cement wanted to strengthen this leadership even more. Through our market understanding, we unearthed real stories of generations placing their trust on Samrat and we decided to create communication on the same.   • MP Birla Cement celebrates Independence Day with a twist

    MP Birla Cement, in association with the Lighthouse for the Blind, Kolkata, designed a unique national flag on the eve of Independence Day. Those who had never seen the tricolour with their eyes could now feel it with their fingers. The three colours, along with the Ashoka Chakra, were translated in Braille, and cast on a flag made of cement concrete. The significance of the colours and the symbol was embossed next to them. Once made, the flag went to the students of The Lighthouse for the Blind.
