  • Motivator wins mandate for Spexmojo eyewear

    Spexmojo, an online eyewear marketplace and a venture of GKB Hitech and Shivkumar Janardhanan, former CEO of Essilor India, has appointed Motivator as its integrated media partner.

  • Motivator wins media mandate for MilkLane

    Motivator India has announced that it has won media mandate for for the milk collection and supply platform, MilkLane. This relationship will start from handling launch of the brand Nutrinos. Motivator India will manage offline and online media for MilkLane.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Vivek Sharma, Marketing Lead, MilkLane Dairy Services Private Limited said: “Nutrinos is creating a new RTE product category with fortified dairy products with a focus on growth and development of kids.   • Sennheiser unveils its #DareToDisconnect initiative in India

    Sennheiser has rehashed its marketing strategy and launched its first ever television campaign titled #DareToDisconnect for the Indian market. Urging the consumers to disconnect from the mundane and monotonous lives by losing themselves to music, the new campaign is aimed to bolster the wireless headphones category in the Indian market.

     

    Targeted towards the new age hyper-social consumers this 360-degree campaign planned and executed by Motivator would reach out to consumer via TV, digital and social media advertisements and influencer engagement.

  • Motivator appoints Mausumi Kar as Managing Director

    Motivator has announced the appointment of Mausumi Kar as its India Managing Director effective from October 1. She will report into Sam Singh, CEO of GroupM, South Asia.

     

    Kar has been associated with GroupM for over 10 years and has handled multiple roles from heading Maxus–North and East, to leading the Google Partnership for GroupM nationally. Before the move, she led the independent SBU that handled the Airtel mandate.

     

    On the announcement Sameer Singh, CEO of GroupM, South Asia said: “It’s a welcoming change in the organisation. I have seen her work and feel her leadership skills and experience will play a vital role in the firm. I’m looking forward to working with her and wish her all the best for her new role.”

  • Motivator launches digital campaign for Mangaaoo in Mumbai

    GroupM media agency Motivator has launched the first phase of the ‘Mangaaoo Dil Se’ digital campaign for food-tech startup Mangaaoo. The ‘campaign is aimed towards highlighting the sentiments behind food, and how Mangaaoo understands them better than anybody else.

     

    Commenting on the success of the campaign’s first phase,Akash Shetty, CEO A D Founder of Mangaaoo, said: “It is exciting to see that our brand is getting quick recognition in an extremely cluttered digital space, and we would like to thank the entire Motivator team for a splendid first phase.   • Motivator appoints Upali Nag as National Head-Insights & Innovation

    GroupM agency Motivator has appointed Upali Nag as National Head – Insights and Innovation. Upali will work out of the agency’s Bengaluru office and will report to V Narayanan, Chief Growth Officer, Motivator. Her role will involve providing strategic business solutions and data-driven insights to Motivator’s growing client base besides building the business and project consulting practice.

     

    Speaking on the new addition to the team, Rabe Iyer, MD, Motivator said, “In the last couple of years, we have been fast-tracking our journey to build a strong client business performance framework and product. Upali has fantastic experience to build sustainable strategies to deliver to broader client conversations.”

     

    On her new assignment, Nag added, “I am extremely excited and happy to join Motivator- India.   • Motivator extends ops to Chennai; eyes Rs 100cr biz

    GroupM agency Motivator has extended its services in the southern market by launching its operations in Chennai. The expansion into the Chennai market is expected to add business of over Rs100 crore for Motivator and is an integral part of the growth plans for the agency. Chennai is the fifth city in Motivator’s network in India in addition to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Thrissur. With the aim of solving business and marketing challenges, the agency further plans to set up a Data, Science and Tech lab in the city that will focus on building frameworks for data applications.

     

    Speaking on the announcement, Rabe Iyer, MD, Motivator said, “As part of our expansion plans, we are looking at diversifying our client portfolio in the Southern market. The launch of our Chennai operations is a significant step in that regard. Besides, we look at Chennai as our Data and Tech lab destination given our existing partnerships and engagement with highly evolved start ups there. While Bengaluru will be the central hub for insights and product development, Chennai will host the labs for data science and emerging technology.”

     

    The Chennai operations will service Motivator’s existing client base in the city, including brands like Yamaha and FundsIndia. In addition to these, the agency will look at bringing on board other local accounts and potential businesses with the objective of strengthening the client base in the new market. Christopher Paul will lead the new Chennai team and will report to Zahid Shaikh, who was recently appointed as the Head of Operations – Motivator South.

     

     

  • Zahid Shaikh joins Motivator to head its South Operations

    Motivator has appointed Zahid Shaikh, Ex CMO Pantaloons as Head of its South Operations.In this role, he will focus on three key areas – building a comprehensive product portfolio, drive growth and enhance capability in Data, CRM, retail, marcom effectiveness and business performance.

    Zahid Shaikh joins Motivator from United Breweries, where he was responsible for Data Analytics to primarily optimize business results for the company. Prior to the aforementioned role, Zahid was CMO, Pantaloons, where he transformed the brand, which was initially perceived as a male brand to a unisex brand. He worked closely with Pantaloons stakeholders and Kishore Biyani’s Future Group, to build a fashion image for the brand. Under Zahid’s leadership, Pantaloons marched past a turnover of Rs 1000 crores (100 stores) from a turnover of Rs. 100 crores (11 stores).

     

  • Motivator motivates Mohandas to move in as Client Leader

    Motivator, a media agency from the house of GroupM, has appointed Amol Mohandas as the Client Leader on all businesses. He will be based in Mumbai and will oversee all businesses of Motivator in the city.

     

    With over 15 years of experience, Amol joins Motivator from Percept Media where he was responsible for heading the west region business and identifying and acquiring leads for new business developments. He was also successful in initiating and acquiring the ISO 9001-2008 Certification, a first for a media AOR in the country.

     

    Prior to joining Percept Media, Amol established his own venture, Weave Through Communications. The company provided multi-platform communication solutions to its clients. He has also been a part of Mediacom as the General Manager for the UAE region, Starcom MediaVest Group as the associate Media Director and Mindshare.

     

    Commenting on the new addition to the team, Trishul Bhumkar, General Manager, Motivator said, “All our clients have had a fantastic 2015 and the momentum is only going to increase.     Motivator has appointed Maulshree Joshi as the National Creative Director. Maulshree has been with GroupM since Nov’07 and has had an exemplary journey, contributing to building the content practice agnostic of media.

     

    Maulshree would be reporting to Rabe Iyer, MD, Motivator. She will work closely with business teams and senior client leads.

    Motivator has appointed Vijayant Dhaka as National Head of Digital Trading. His role will involve streamlining digital channel planning strategies and integrating new trading platforms and practices, besides leading the trading desk for clients.

    Dhaka joins Motivator from Ignitee Digital which is now a part of New Digital, Singapore, where he was involved in driving business growth by tapping into performance media clients. He has also been an early stage team member at Octane, and founding team member at Policybazaar. At Policy Bazaar, he set up a customer facing team while at Octane, he was the business head and drove international expansion into South East Asia, Middle East & South Africa.
