    Mercedes-Benz India along with Wavemaker Content have unveiled an original web series – Rushesthat introduces six path-breakers embarking on adventures fuelled by an insatiable hunger for extreme sports.

     

    On the association  Michael Jopp, VP, Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz said: “India is a country of diversity not only in the form of different landscapes that you can visit across the country but also from the varied pool of talent that it houses. Our association with TheVibe and creating Rushes was with the idea of celebrating these beautiful people and places of India. The content features a very emotional story wherein passion and dedication of these local heroes are showcased with their abundant talent and vigour towards one dedicated adventure sport. The same passion and dedication is what we strive to put in our cars and give our best to the customers.”

  • Yuvraj Singh unveiled as Laureus brand ambassador

    Mercedes-Benz India reinforced its commitment towards society by using the power of sports to bring about a change amongst the underprivileged children. Fostering its association with Laureus Sport for Good for the second year, Mercedes-Benz India will fund developmental programmes for two new NGOs- Naz Foundation and Slum Soccer. In addition MercedesBenz India will continue to fund existing Laureus-supported partners Oscar Foundation and YUWA.

     

    Strengthening its association with India, Laureus Sport for Good has announced Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh as a Laureus Ambassador. Laureus Sport for Good supports children and young people, using the power of sport to help them overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage, proving sport’s ability to change the world. The global organisation supports more than 100 programmes in 35 countries.

  • Mercedes-Benz India appoints Michael Jopp to drive Sales & Marketing mandate

    Luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz India announced a key appointment in its Sales and Marketing function. The company appointed Michael Jopp as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing beginning August 1, 2016. The new appointment comes into effect as Boris Fitz, Vice-President, Sales and Network Development, completes his successful tenure in India and will be taking over a larger role at Mercedes-Benz Turkey.

     

    Commenting on the new appointment, Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “Boris played a pivotal role in Mercedes-Benz’s sales growth as the company witnessed a remarkable sales success amidst myriad market challenges. He was instrumental in creating the densest and most qualitative dealer network for Mercedes-Benz with dedicated dealer partners. We highly value Boris’ contribution to the rapid growth of Mercedes-Benz in India. We are equally excited to welcome Michael and are confident that with his rich experience in the domain of sales and marketing in Mercedes-Benz Cars, Michael will continue the strong growth momentum of the Three Pointed Star in this highly competitive and dynamic market.”

     

    Michael has close to two decades of experience in the domestic automobile industry in Germany and also in international markets both on the OEM and distributor side. He has rich experience in areas of sales management, product management, marketing and general management. Currently he is responsible for sales performance and sales profitability for Mercedes-Benz Cars in Berlin. A MBA from Goizueta Business School, Emory University, Atlanta, Michael loves playing golf, traveling and has a passion for literature.

     

  • ‘Ah My God’, says Mercedes-Benz as it unveils first ever India specific campaign

    On the eve of the launch of its compact sedan – CLA 45 AMG – next week, luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz India has announced the launch of its ‘Ah My God’ communication campaign in India. The highlight of this campaign, conceptualised by Creativeland Asia, is that it is the first ever India specific TVC that has been launched by Mercedes-Benz.

     

    Globally AMG is synonymous with high performance motoring and cutting edge technological innovations. In India, the AMG brand has an impeccable stature for introducing high performance cars and enjoys immense popularity among customers, auto aficionados and motoring enthusiasts.

     

    With the launch of the new CLA 45 AMG, the brand intends to open up to new target groups and reach out to more people. In order to connect with a larger audience, “AMG” brand is being communicated in a simple and relevant manner. This communication has been done by connecting AMG with a creative expression- ‘Ah My God”. This is the strong feeling that current owners or brand enthusiasts get when they get inside an AMG car.

     

    ‘The Ah My God’ communication has been coined to capture the indescribable feeling of driving the car. The communication starts with a TV commercial where viewers are asked, ‘When was the last time you felt something you just couldn’t put into words? This feeling is further drawn parallel by getting behind the wheel of an AMG. The leading independent  agency will be the auto-maker’s full-service digital agency handling the creative and media mandate. Creativeland will work closely with the team at Mercedes Benz to develop a fresh digital strategy for the brand, notes a communique.
