  • Lukup Media appoints JWT as its ad agency

    Lukup Media has announced the appointment of J. Walter Thompson (JWT) as their advertising agency. The account will be handled out of the agency’s Bangalore office.

     

    While multiple agencies were invited for the pitch, the JWT team’ work managed to capture the spirit of Lukup Media’s intent of revolutionising the content and entertainment space with game changing experiences.

     

    The campaign will be spearheaded by Senthil Kumar, Chief Creative Officer, JWalter Thompson. Outlining his perspective on this exciting brand Senthil said, “The content we consume has moved beyond one screen many years ago and this innovation of multi-screen content streaming from one device is a product idea whose time has come. And our creative ambition is to amplify this concept and deliver insightful communication for Lukup and ensure that we partner the success story of this brand from start up to the finish line.     JWT will comprehensively handle the ATL mandate of Lukup Media, working towards creating campaigns that will help form an emotional connect, and brand recall among the consumers. JWT’s expertise will come highly handy in standardising consumer touch points with consistency in terms of tone, and language.

  • Mukund Sharma Joins Lukup Media as EVP

    Lukup Media, India’s first converged TV and Internet access provider has appointed Mukund Sharma as its Executive Vice-President.

     

    At Lukup, Mukund will be heading the content, services and commerce verticals. Mukund is an industry veteran with over fifteen years of experience in the field of content management, business development, advertising, sales and strategy. Mukund is well-known for spearheading the content management team at Tata Sky. He started his career with Sahara India and has been associated with leading broadcasters like CNBC TV18, Ten Sports, and Tata Sky.

     

    Commenting on this appointment, Kallol Borah, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Lukup Media said, “Mukund is an extremely valuable addition to our team at Lukup Media.   • Lukup Media & Warner Bros partner for India’s first on-demand TV channel

    Bengaluru-based Lukup Media announced a partnership with Warner Bros Digital Distribution, through which the Studio’s newly released movies such as Gravity and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and a selection of new releases, catalogue titles and popular TV series will be offered to viewers via an on-demand TV channel. The Lukup Player will deliver a combination of live and on-demand content on Televisions and other devices people use to consume content.

     

    The deal will see titles made available through the on-demand service from February 2014, as well as future new releases. Users will have access to more than 200 films and TV series from the Warner Bros. library.

The channel will allow people to choose titles from their TV programme guide, pay for them and view them at a time of their choice.”
